What is Arimidex?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Arimidex, also known as Anastrazole, is what we would class as an aromatase inhibitor. It has its place in bodybuilding and for those who use steroids. First and foremost though, it is a treatment for breast cancer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Arimidex works by blocking the aromatase enzyme, which stops the production of estrogen in the body. It was designed to work like this as breast cancer cells are stimulated by estrogen in the body.<\/span><\/p>\n

Arimidex is quite a strong and popular choice for people suffering from the estrogenic side effects of steroids. It is quite versatile in the sense that it can be run on cycle and also as a part of a PCT.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another great benefit of using Arimidex is once you reduce the amount of estrogen in the body you will also reduce the water weight which you will be holding. The tablets are available in 1mg per tablet dose.<\/span><\/p>\n

Arimidex is quite powerful and in studies has been shown to reduce estrogen levels by up to 80%. When it comes down to controlling estrogen on cycle Arimidex is a preferred choice over Nolvadex.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nolvadex<\/a> is a SERM and only blocks the attachment of estrogen to the tissue it does nothing to reduce the levels of estrogen in the body.<\/span><\/p>\n

Arimidex on Cycle<\/span><\/h2>\n

Arimidex is a popular choice when it comes to estrogen control on cycle. When running aromatisable compounds like Dianabol<\/a> or Deca the levels of estrogen in the body can increase quite rapidly.<\/span><\/p>\n

For people with higher body fat levels or who are more sensitive to estrogen, this can cause horrible side effects, one of the most stand out being gynecomastia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gynecomastia is the growth of breast tissue in men. For anyone using steroids gynecomastia and water retention often go hand in hand. It is something nobody wants to have to deal with. Symptoms of gynecomastia include puffy and tender nipple and swollen tissue around the nipple area.<\/span><\/p>\n

When these sides start to show themselves it is important to be ready to combat them. For more experienced steroid users they will likely already be running Adex as a part of a cycle. However, people who are new to steroids will likely not be expecting as much.<\/span><\/p>\n

When on cycle, a dose of .5mg every three days is a good place to start. Remember, the goal is to keep water retention to a minimum, this is a good way to judge if your Adex dose is working.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you find you are still holding water, then increasing it to every two days is a good way to go before increasing the dose. The last thing you want to do is crash your estrogen down to nothing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Everyone is different and how their body handles aromatisation will be different. It is important to see what works for you and test then adjust.<\/span><\/p>\n

Arimidex as PCT<\/span><\/h2>\n

As well as being incredible at reducing the levels of estrogen in the body Arimidex is also known to be able to stimulate the production of natural testosterone in men.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In PCT the idea is to start ramping up the testes to increase the levels of your own natural testosterone. Once on cycle, the levels of testosterone being produced by your own body will gradually start to reduce.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Arimidex can be used as a part of a PCT, yet it would need to be used at its lowest dose. For most, during PCT your hormone levels are beginning to level out and find homeostasis, again, the last thing you want to do is fully suppress your estrogen and crash.<\/span><\/p>\n

Most people will prefer to run Adex on cycle and Nolvadex as a part of PCT.<\/span><\/p>\n

Side Effects of Adex<\/span><\/h2>\n

Arimidex does come with some side effects, a few more notable than others. This, at the end of the day, is a cancer treatment drug.<\/span><\/p>\n

The most common sides are hot flashes, joint pain, fatigue, changes in mood and behaviour, depression and changes in blood pressure. It should be noted that it is quite rare to experience these side effects.<\/span><\/p>\n

It has also been noted that using an aromatase inhibitor could reduce bone mineral density and lead to osteoporosis in certain individuals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For users with high cholesterol or who are at risk of cardiovascular disease, it causes adverse changes to the levels of HDL and LDL. When using steroids these levels are already at risk and it is possible for Arimidex to increase the shift of good cholesterol to bad even further.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is Adex<\/span><\/h3>\n

Arimidex is an aromatase inhibitor. It is primarily used as a part of cancer treatment for women suffering from breast cancer.<\/span><\/p>\n

In bodybuilding, it is used to stop the aromatisation of estrogen in the body. Less estrogen means less water retention which keeps blood pressure low and limits the chances of getting gynecomastia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Can Arimidex Make You Gain Weight?<\/span><\/h3>\n

As far as the side effects go gaining weight isn\u2019t listed as one of them. When you start using Arimidex, if anything, you may notice some slight weight loss as you start to reduce the water weight.<\/span><\/p>\n

Can Arimidex Help With Hair Loss?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Hairloss cause by the use of anabolic and androgenic steroids will not be helped by Adex. The use of Finasteride or Pramipexiole is more likely to help with hair loss caused by androgens.<\/span><\/p>\n

How Quickly Can it Work<\/span><\/h3>\n

Arimidex will start working within hours. Although it may take a few days to see or feel the results if you have left it to the last minute to start using it. The half-life of Arimidex is noted as being 30 – 60 hours.<\/span><\/p>\n

As with steroids, it will take some time for the levels in the body to reach its peak where it can start exhibiting its effects.<\/span><\/p>\n

Can Arimidex Effect The Liver?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Arimidex is used in cancer patients. So, at that point, the body is already combatting a lot worse. Although, not the norm, some people may find a little more stress on the liver when using Arimidex.<\/span><\/p>\n
