Competitor Rundowns:

1st Timers

1 - Chrisopher Ray? Good muscularity but very very soft, won't impact this lineup at all. Reasonable posing to Katy Perry. Needs 8+ weeks more dieting easily, shame!

2 - Thomas McGhee? - Very good condition, but undermuscled in this lineup and confidence lacking in his posing. Legs a little too light on muscle for his upper body with respect to his own balance. He looks good tho, just again in this quality of lineup will struggle.

3 - Glen Brooks - Good condition, maybe just a ballhair smooth in this lineup, but still great. Excellent balance top to bottom, side to side, but not the biggest of guys in this lineup, and posing could use a fair bit of work.

4 - Ross Alexander - Great condition and vascularity, confident posing! Good size balance, could use maybe a shade more size on the legs, but looking great and getting the crowd going! Very good effort!

5 - Couldn't catch name - Similar to no 2, undermuscled in this lineup, and a little smooth too. Putting reasonable effort into his posing, has at least put a routine together, although music is gash. Good back on him!

6 - Michael Raybarks? - Good solid physique, thick upper body although legs need more mass. Great posing though, and raising a good cheer from the crowd, I like the look of this guy, potential for the future!

7 - Lee Morgan - Another thick physique with a good attempt at posing, starting with some graceful knee work - I like. Legs again need more size though, and condition on lower half isn't pushing through as good as it could. Enjoying his routine tho, clearly put effort in!

8 - Scott Macdonald - Very good physique - not the biggest in this particular lineup, but good balance. Condition however will hurt him, soft particularly on the lower rear - he isn't fat by any means, but with a lineup of this quality, any weakness stands out. Enjoying his posing though, very polished for a first timer, and crowd giving a good cheer!

9 - Thomas ? - Very thick physique and very well balanced top to bottom, definitely one of my favourites on first glance. Having music issues though!!!! Good conditioning everywhere, except inner quads - composure issue? Certainly not lacking in size, being one of the bigger - and better shaped - athletes in this class! One to watch for sure!

10 - Mickey Hearne - Very accomplished posing!!! Not a big guy in this lineup, but balanced enough, legs maybe a LITTLE light, but his graceful posing is getting the crowd onside, lot of clapping - doesn't look like a first timer posing!

11 - Dean Clarke - This guy must be a stripper lol, got the crowd going instantly with his confident presentation and hip movements, love ti!!! Physique wise, good enough condition, just lacking a little in size in this lineup - but a definite crowd favourite and great display!

12 - Ross Breen - Wow, some pair of quads on him, and great conditioning. Upper body on par, excellent rear conditioning. His posing music could be better, but the posing itself is pretty spot on, and raising a great applause - in my opinion, this is his!

Juniors

1 - Ryan Lewis - Winner at the Ardler Classic juniors 2 weeks ago, and 2nd place to Ben Warner at last weeks MuscleXcess Classic, looking really good again today and recovered well from a crazy 15lb binge at the start of the week. Great condition - still a bit to come off the legs, and hopefully he will get this sorted for the UKBFF in 5 weeks!!

2 - Jamie W? Quite a big lad, fair bit of mature muscle on him, although condition not quite as sharp as the rest of the linup - will be interesting to see how the judges score this one!

3 - Ben Warner - Winner of the Juniors from last weeks MuscleXcess, I think its safe to say he has walked this one too, genetic freak!!! Can't wait to see this guy over the next couple of years!! Has def came in a bit from last week too, insane!!

Novice

1 - Craig Stewart - Looks as if has softened out a fair bit, the size is there, the posing and shape is there - but sadly on this occasion; the condition is not.

2 - Robert Riethn - Huge - biggest in the lineup for sure. Size balanced and beautiful posing. Came a long way from Junior ranks at UKBFF last year; however, condition is way, way off. I hear on the grapevine he only decided to do this show on a whim, and his main aim is UKBFF Scottish in 5 weeks, so this is understandable!

3 - Lee Thomson - Another good showing from Lee, good condition, confident posing. Still some soft areas around glutes and hams, and legs could use a bit more meat but a very good display all in!

4 - John Dias - Looks to have tightened in from last weeks show a little, but next to no tension in his legs when posing, the posing itself is pretty poor. Potential for sure tho, but needs get more condition, more leg size, and learn to pose - the genetic gifts he has - thick chest, big arms, round shoulders - are lost in amongst his faults.

5 - Graeme Cuthbertson - Not the biggest guy in this lineup but very possibly the best conditioned, shredded! Posing very confident, although letting tension go in his lower body which is hiding cuts away a little. Conditioning generally phenominal though and he might well be in with a shout at taking this! Lets see how the call outs go!

6 - Steven Griffiths - His first year competing, Steven has had some solid results so far - and looks set to continue this, even in this bigger lineup, with more at stake!! Very good conditioning, although tan seems little flat/dull?

7 - Daniel Manson - A very balanced and conditioned physique here, music seemed to cut short though? Lets see how he goes in the call outs.

8 - Wayne Horton - Quite light on muscle in this lineup which you can get away with if condition is razor sharp like no5 - but Waynes condition, although good, isn't at that level, posing could use a few tweaks too, but doing himself proud all the same!

9 - Aaron Smart - Looking good this week, although the leg composure still remains an issue, the are lacking in size but he is compounding the issue by not posing them at all, no tension in them whatsoever - shame because his upper body is really good, not huge, but a nice shape and good conditioning, just impossible to see his legs through not tensing them.

Masters Over 40

1 – Paul Boone – Looking well this week as last, but still a little smooth unfortunately, particularly in the legs. Good posing however, and that now trademark for this year red mohican :D

2 – Chris Walk – Very good condition on this competitor, and slow posing, getting the crowd going, and getting harder as he poses!

3 – James Durnan? - Very pale, next to no stage tan, and that might be making his condition look worse than it is; however there is no getting away from the fact he is smooth, particularly up the front of his torso. Posing needs a lot of work... unfortunately he won't be a threat in this lineup.

4 – Jim Pettigrew – probably the widest guy in the lineup, and came in noticeably from last weeks showing. A real threat in this class, he may well have surpassed his previous best condition which AFAIK was back in 2007 at this show. Confident posing, smiling, and looking very very good!! I know Jim personally, and am chuffed to bits that he has pulled it out the bag!!

5 – James Palmer – Looking well, nothing weak, and nothing particularly standing out, balanced. Very good condition and posing!

6 – Kirk Coburn – Looks like another solid showing from Kirk, composing himself a lot better and posing very well!! Condition good all over, not granite, but good, and although not the biggest, a very symmetrical and balanced athlete, presented well, very good display!

7 – Gordon McKenzie – same routine as he has used last two weeks, and it is getting more polished – as is he, with notable improvements in condition, especially in the hamstrings. Could use some posing tweaks, but overal, very good!!

8 – Stevie Thomson – As per my last report, looking the best I have personally seen him, posing and smiling well! Just that unfortunate gyno on the right pec, and the tear on the left that detract badly. Conditioned well, but not holding his lower half properly from behind – but all in, looking good.

Masters Over 50

1 – Graham Soutar – As per previous 2 showings, unfortunately Graham is just undermuscled currently in this quality of a lineup – however, he is enjoying himself, and has a good following in the crowd, so fair play to him!!

2 – Robert Turner – Robert will be looking to improve on last weeks 5th place (in a tough lineup). Coming out to his usual classical training music, perhaps time for a change? Physique wise, looking to have came in a little from last week, and is approaching more his usual trademark condition. Posing is, as ever, on point.

3 – Robert Rankin – Reasonable level of size, but in this line up, looks a bit too soft. Posing could also use work, but ultimately he just needs more diet time to be a threat in this lineup, unfortunately.

4 - Rod Smith – Amazing condition, up there with the best in the lineup. Posing much improved, and hit his impact point just perfect in his posing tune, looking really well if perhaps a little wanting in size for this lineup; but Rod knows this, and is realistic about the fact that he will need another year to be really shining – all in a very good showing.

5 – Alan Carnegie – First time I saw Alan was 2 weeks ago, and I'm a firm fan. An accomplished masters athlete, with posing that shouts classical, yet to upbeat modern music. Love it. Plenty good condition, tiny waist, classical flare and phenominal peaky arms. Took the over 40s (Alan is in his 50s) at last weeks MuscleXcess Classic, and looks set to do more damage here!!

6 – Colin Buchan – Colin has came in well from 2 weeks ago, so he has clearly had his head down. A lot of mature muscle, and slow classical posing. Easily the biggest guy in the lineup, but he is outconditioned in some areas, so it will be interesting to see how this falls with the judges.

Ms Toned Figure

1 – Karen Gooding? - Very light on tan, which could hurt her on the lights. Starting routine form the rear which might not have been the best choice as she is a little soft in the hams/glutes – however, a confident routine, and good level of muscle on her frame; with luck the judges will be close enough to pick out the detail that we in the crowd can't because of the lights bleaching her out.

2 – Heather Ellington – Polished enough routine, but unfortunately in this lineup lacks the necessary muscle tone and condition to be competitive.

3 – Tanya Walk? – very nice routine, starting with groundwork and progressing up. Physique wise, pretty good, nothing jiggling which is always a good start, and clear muscle tone visible.

4 – Michelle Morris – winner of the class in last weeks MuscleXcess Classic, Michelle will be looking to continue her success. Condition is on a par or slightly better than last week with the lower half lagging the top half slightly but routine confident with lots of smiling – definitely a contender in this class!

5 – Not Present? Presume bumped to trained after sign in?

6 – Lynsey D? - Good smooth posing, defined (but not overly) mid section, but lower body lacking in detail, and tone unfortunately.

7 – Charmain ? - Good muscular development for the class, and good posing. Nothing overly defined, but nothing jiggling either! Got good crowd applause!

8 - Amber Colquhoun – Amber looking pretty much as last week, possibly a little less confident? Perhaps the size of the event getting to her? But this seems to be disipating as she gets into her routine, which is excellent. Could use a little more definition overall, she is very evenly conditioned.

9 – Jo Jamieson – Very tall and athletic looking competitor, she should also threaten for top placings here, being in very good condition. Routine confident, and smooth, progressing down to the floor and back up, plenty of smiling. Maybe lacking slight tone/definition in the hamstring/glute area, but overall, very good display!

Ms Trained Figure

1 – Lorna Hall – Same routine from last week – and why change it, it was superb last week, as it is this week. So graceful, the definition of feminine muscularity, and the crowd are certainly appreciating it. Condition looks to be in a little from last week too, so she hasn't been resting on her laurels!

2 – Tracey Stead – Same sort of condition as Lorna, and starting routine similar in that she is working from the floor first, and posing gracefully – very very good level of definition. Could use some posing tweaks, but I'm being picky now, another great display!

3 – Rose Wallace – Slightly less defined than the first two athletes, especially the lower rear. Very good posing display all in, but not quite as ambitious as numbers 1 and 2.

5 – Margaret Edgar – The numbering shows this must be the athlete moved from toned. She certianly is beyond toned in condition for sure! A smaller framed athlete, with a very hard appearance to her torso. Very good posing too, although again on that front a little ways behind 1 and 2 – still a great display though.

Class 3

1c4 – Grant Coutts – On his own in Class 4, I know Grant won't be the happiest at this as he relishes competition – but not his fault no one else turned up. Looking very hard and dry in the top half although I am not sure if his legs are maybe a little watered – sure they were harder last week Seem to be getting harder as he poses, great display.

1 – Andy Napier – Andy has brought the same razor sharp condition today, that he brought to the last two Saturdays, superb, condition really standing out, and posing spot on, and getting a great reception from the crowd; they know quality when they see it!

2 – William Thomson – Just as, if not MORE conditioned than last week – where he took class and overall at the MuscleXcess Classic. He is a major threat to do the same this week! Great routine, and rallying the crowd like a seasoned pro, superb!

3 – Aaron Rossi – Pretty much unchanged from last week, Aaron is displaying that same immense upper body and arm package; unfortunately for him, he is also still displaying a lot of softness in his quads, particularly the inner. I repeat what I said last week – when this guy gets his whole-body conditioning nailed people need to watch out; however, that day is not today.

4 – Zanna Muhammed? Wow, tonnes of size!!! Spectacular arms! He doesn't quite have the condition of 1 or 2, but man what a package, full, and lovely shape. How much will his slightly lagging condition hurt him?

5 – Brian Soutar – I was told he wasn't competing today, so I am glad to see him here, love his posing tune and routine, and his size, condition and thickness just can't be discounted; however I can't help thinking he needs to be darker to make the most of his physique – superb though!!

Class 2

1 – Thomas Cordas? - Very pale, but bloody hell what a condition and shape!! Was just talking to @Stephen, and this could well be his class. He needs more muscle on his frame – but still has plenty there to do the job! Amazing classical lines, would just like to run down and slap a coat of dream tan on him!!! Great display!

2 – Robert Bradley – Robert has made a fast progression over the last couple of weeks, from 1st timer through novice, and is now standing proud in a Mr lineup, with nothing to lose. He is probably the smallest in this particular lineup, but he really is just up there for fun now. Condition looks to maybe have backslid a tad from last week – water issue maybe? But he certainly isn't out of condition, and is looking good! Getting harder as his routine goes on!

3 – Simon Swanston – If I remember right I commented last week his legs were a little soft – if I did, then he has brought them in, and his condition in general; however the ham/glute area is still lacking definite border, and is very smooth. Overall, a very good display though, and if I am not mistaken, might be his first dip into the Mr ranks too.

4 – Richard Yates – I'm sure I remember this guy from being up against @Rab in the first timers a couple years back? He looks to have put on decent size but his condition although good, might cost him in this lineup, with some blurring on his abs and inner quads. Great size and balance though, and a confident routine!

Class 1

1 – Craig Anderson – Huge, simply huge, and a far better colour than last weeks prejudging, looks to have found some conditioning too, which is superb!! Very good posing, smiling, superb package!!!

2 – Stuart Bateson – Stuart, still relatively new to competing, has shot up the ranks to become another great Scottish physique. He can match no1 on size, so it is going to make it hard for the judges. I think he loses out from behind tho, with his back not carrying the presence of no1, and also his confidence appearing a little bit lower.

3 – Ian Robertson – Our own @Hells Bells, this is his first competitive outing this year. He looks to have put some good size on his legs and arms which is great because in my opinion that is where he needed it most on his frame – looking really well big fella well done on the improvements!!

4 – George Thomson – The lightest muscled athlete in this class, he is hoping to display condition – and is doing that just fine. This isn't even his class, George has been aiming for the classic class at the Paisley UKBFF (5 weeks) so for him to hold his own in this class, is a huge achievement!!!
