Coming Off For Good

Hi people,

In the past I have done a few cycles, always low dose like 250mg test or 50mg anavar or tbol.

I decided to try going natural this year. Weight isn't down that much, maybe 5-7lbs. However strength is way down, I'm maybe at 90% of what I was before.

Is this normal? How has coming off for good or an extended period of time affected you?

I am considering getting a medichecks test done to see if I have low test.

Finding it hard psychologically more so than physically.

Would really like to hear any thoughts you may have.

Haha fair point. I definitely overthink sometimes.

I know people say once you take gear it's hard to train naturally, I was just looking for people's experiences of coming off long term or forever.

I think I worded my question wrong.

I just wanted to know people's experience of the effects of coming off for good.

strength and size will go down, mentally you'll wonder if you made the right choice as ego will take a pounding. you'll then realise your a bitch to the peds, once you get over that then life is fine.

@doink s went up when he come off tbf

I went on, first time, in 1997 or 1998. I stayed pretty much ‘on’ (didn’t know what I was doing/no internet and would come off for 2 weeks thinking I was ‘clearing out’) until 2002, when I stopped jabbing, and dabbled with dbol until late 2003.

By 2011 I hadn’t done gear for like 8 years, started training harder and eating better, and by the end of that year, I was significantly stronger at this point than I ever was on gear.

I went back on whilst I was on this board, before my qualifier in March 2017, and was already ‘gym totalling’ 820 in the powerlifts before I took anything.

I think you can be as strong off, but you need to be fatter/heavier.

Thank you for the feedback guys.

@RickJsy

That's interesting, 820 clean is a big total indeed!

I need to get heavier for my height, I've got a lot to work on in terms of diet and improving training further

You need to train smart focus on recovery. Maybe change carbs for fats if your a big carb eater
DC 2 day or fortitude is good for natties

I don't find my strength drops much during cruises anymore. I think people just automatically let it slip mentally, rather than work hard at holding it. my overall workload def drops.. I cant train for as long & it takes longer to recover after a heavy session. so I train a bit smarter- drop my training split & train more frequent

im taking the plunge this year though & coming off completely, after 5-6 years on blast & cruising. should be interesting  ill NOT be letting numbers slip. ill be working my ass off to hold everything
