Relegation odds from BF. Norwich are evens to go down = 1/1 = 2.0.

Chance of Newcastle going down? Bruce is a dinosaur and maybe a Championship manager:-

Bruce has suffered relegation from the Premier League twice, in 2005-06 with Birmingham City and 2014-15 with Hull City.
His highest finish in the top-flight was 10th, with Birmingham in 2003-04 and Sunderland in 2010-11.

Also Newcastle have lost half of their goals:-

Rondon and Perez - responsible for 23 of their 42 Premier League goals last season - plus midfielders Diame and Kenedy.

You'd think someone had bought it and he's robbing all the assets before handing it over.

Why buy almerion in that case.....

The bottom of the table is gonna be more interesting than the top.

Arsenal saying there working on “big deals”

Cant see it meself
One thing I will say about Arsenal, they have spent truckloads on youth and there academy, a couple of my sons mates got signed by them.

But the ones they bring through are physically very small. And for the premier league most players are 6ft +

Liverpool (out)

Danny Ings Centre-Forward
Marko Grujic Central Midfield Loan
Alberto Moreno Left-Back
Sheyi Ojo Right Winger Loan
Daniel Sturridge Centre-Forward
Ádám Bogdán Goalkeeper
Connor Randall Right-Back

With Mignolet staying, I think we will sign a LB, AM (Coutinho?) and a striker.

Flood of bets placed on Newcastle relegation following Steve Bruce appointment

Over half of all bets in the last 24 hours have backed the Toon to go doon

A betting spree has taken place on Newcastle United to be relegated from the Premier League, following the appointment of Steve Bruce.

In the last 24 hours, 51% of all bets in the market have backed Newcastle for the drop, with their price crumbling much similar to their fan base.

The Toon have been cut from 5/1 into 11/4 to be relegated to the Championship following the 19/20 season, with money continuing to pour in.

That means Newcastle are now the sixth favourites to go down this year, only sitting behind the likes of Aston Villa (9/4), Brighton (2/1), Burnley (2/1), Norwich (1/1) and Sheffield United (10/13).

Steve Bruce opened up as a 20/1 shot to be named the next Newcastle manager, before shortly shortening to 1/25. A small spate of bets were placed yesterday on Bruno Genesio taking over but to no avail.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “As underwhelming managerial appointments go, Newcastle's acquisition of Steve Bruce is right up there.

Over half of all bets for Premier League relegation have been placed on the Magpies in the last seven days, and the former Sunderland boss will have his work cut out winning over the Toon fans - who are still reeling from Rafa Benitez's untimely demise."

He also shows no loyalty whatsoever
Hes had more clubs than tiger woods
Not many managers have the balls to take charge of clubs who are city rivals, hes on course to do it in every major city in England
It doesn't sit well with fans, especially those as passionate as the geordies
Sheffield wed were very good to him last season, it raised a lot of questions when he got the job but they allowed him to carry on his break in the Caribbean, they stood by him as his dad was I'll (or passed away) and hes just thrown it back in their face
Would be funny if Newcastle went down and Sheffield wed had a decent season and at least made the play offs

Anyway, my early thoughts on prem
I think villa will do ok and stay up
Newcastle will struggle but scrape through again
Which leaves 3 from the the other 4 favs to go down
There is only so long Burnley's style and dyches passion can carry then through I think this year there time is up
Same for Brighton, they scraped it last year and dont have enough quality, without Glenn Murrays goals they're stuffed and hes really getting on now
Then 1 from Sheffield utd and Norwich, dont know enough about them to comment really
At the top it will be business as usual for the top 2
I've got a feeling spurs may not do as well this season, not really based on anything but he seems to be getting rid of players with not much happening the other way
Arsenal seem to be going backwards, there defence is shocking and they've lost Ramsey, they dont seem to attract the big players
Chelsea will go one way or the other, Lampard will be a breath of fresh air and work wonders or hell be first to get sacked. I'm going with the second option, hell struggle to begin with and Roman wont fuck about, he has patience for nobody
Wolves will make top 6
Watfords Europa games will harm their prem I reckon
Everton will improve on last season
I'm a utd fan so speak with my heart over my brain
If ole can get a top CB and shore up that defence I think they will have a decent season
Lukaku will be sold but I dont think they will replace him, ole seems to like the strikers hes got
Hes obviously wanting a certain style of play with wingers and pace going forward compared to the unproductive keep ball we've got used to the last few years
Sanchez is the forgotten man and he may just show his quality this year
I'm sticking my neck out and saying utd 3rd
City
Liverpool
Utd
Wolves
Spurs
Chelsea
Everton
Arsenal

Wont be no better season to catch/finish above chelsea arsenal and man utd imo for everton

All have there own problems, as pooley says could go either way, but there not the dominate forces they have been thats for sure

Will we do it? Who knows.. being a everton fan.. we already know the answer ha ha
