Being On Keto And Become Fat Adapted

I am on Keto and live in Japan so its hard to get a lot of fat apart from oily fish as the food is lean when eating out (Though they do have bbq etc) Now i am using Evo and coconut oil to boost it.

My worries is what happens if I am not fat adapted and does fat adaption exist in your opinion?

You can buy keto sticks to piss on to see you're in ketosis. Think Amazon or eBay sell them.

i'm confused what you're asking exactly? are you trying to lose weight?

running on fat as an energy source : ketosis, is a thing yes (will assume that's what you mean by 'fat adaption'). will you lose weight because you're in ketosis? - not necessarily. at the end of the day it is still calories in vs calories out that dictates fat loss. being in ketosis purely switches you're energy source from mainly carbs (glucose/glysogen) to mainly fat (ketosis). it doesn't mean it burns existing fat & uses it as energy

Fat adapted is a bit of a nonsense term used by keto retards mate.

Your body has adapted to use fat over hundreds of thousands of years of evolution. Every cell in your body is more than capable of using several energy sources simultaneously.

Becoming fat adapted is like becoming water adapted or oxygen adapted. It’s bollocks.

If you’re only gonna feed it fat and minimal sugar then that’s what your cells are gonna use. Fat and minimal sugar.

It’s as simple as that.There is no need for any adaption to occur over and above that.

Don’t buy into the over complicated waffle about keto from idiots like Hyman and Jung who talk pseudoscience and bullshit and make an all manner of baseless claims about the disease prevention and health benefits because they’re a pair of lemons, those benefits mostly don’t exist outside of a test tube, in isolation

The keto diet is fine if you like it but don’t buy into the hyperbole, it’s just another form of disordered eating like any other diet fad. It’s no better than any other form of calorie restriction.

I get really good results from a keto diet when I first started training tbf. 6 month of it & was in pretty good shape for a natty

have done a couple times since, but get on better with high carb, high pro, low fat
 
Tried keto for about 3 weeks. Was in ketosis according to those stick things. Didn't like the diet. If I was to ever run "keto" again i'd do that variant where you allow yourself some carbs post workout so not true keto.

Or I could do hilly's keto diet he rants on about on trainedbyjp site.
~300G protein, low fat and low carb. He got called out for it not being keto and then obviously sent his usual patronising response, riddled with spelling errors.
