Football 2019/20 Thread

bet it’s less and if it is we should rise up and destroy the government.

All those people out of business
All those saveable cancer patients dead
Business folded
Jobs lost
Tax increases
Recession, the biggest recession ever.
Cuts
Public funds spent
People’s freedoms inhibited
Football fooked
Pints missed
Meals missed
Queuing in supermarkets
All this autistic social distancing shit

and for what? It was all done too late and for what?

They did fookin nuttin

If they get away with this then the British public are a bunch of absolute melts. Anyone who can ever bring themselves to vote for these fucking mongoloids again is a mug of the highest order

We might as well have rolled over to the Germans and let them euthanise us as our grandparents fought and died so we could be a bunch of mugs

not just the UK mate, pretty much most of the world.

clueless handling of initial situation though, thats for sure. however i doubt any government would have done much better - only in small countries has it worked and even then still many of the same issues above.

Do you think this crisis will reset the retarded transfer values / salaries that are put on average players?

its already happening

of course some are living in cuckoo lands like Villa saying they want 80m for grealish and even if they go down he will still be 80m .......i mean come on chaps..... never happening

values are often put on at ridiculous levels to stop players leaving, if someone wants to pay then their lookout.

Salaries are down to the money behind the club, in this enviroment im sure they arent goingg up

If they’d just prepared in advance it wouldn’t have been so bad but they just ignored it.

It was the same with Grenfel. People tell them there’s an issue and they just ignore it.

Now they’ve gone completely the other way and are blaming it all on the experts and scientists. Except the experts and scientists aren’t saying what they are.

Read some US politician talking about how China had a pandemic clause in their trade agreement with the USA meaning they wouldn’t have to make good on their side of the arrangement until it was over.

Not sure how much truth is in it but it makes it a bit more interesting if it is true as the Americans and Brits will be out for revenge.

That’s true I believe. Can’t remember which interview it was on Valuetainment but they said how the Chinese Suddenly rushed to get the deal done In November/December including that clause meaning they don’t have to stick to it now. That great foresight in to the future.

Thats his release clause, we dont need to sell either as our owners are the 3rd richest in the premier league.

The Premier League is "as confident as we can be" about restarting in June, says chief executive Richard Masters.

Players resumed training on Tuesday, the day it was announced there had been six positive tests for coronavirus across three clubs.

The Premier League, suspended on 13 March, had previously identified 12 June as a possible restart date.

"There is some momentum. We've taken the first step," Masters told BBC Sport.

"It's great for everybody, including the fans, to see our players back on the training ground."

Asked what date the Premier League was targeting for a return, Masters said it must be "flexible" and could learn from the resumption of the Bundesliga last weekend.
