I'd say Dubois will smash him, to powerful

You know what, my first impressions were exactly that, but Joyce has proven me wrong on more than one occasion. He's beaten Stiverne, Ustinov and Jennings don't forget, all fighters who can mix it up. That being said, his jaw is a little suspect, but then again so was Dubois' in that furious exchange with Lartey last year... whilst the odds might be slightly stacked in Dubois' favour, I wouldn't put it past Joyce to blindside him with a clean shot to the jaw and keep up the pressure for a TKO.

Pete, I have long stated that Joyce is a live runner in this fight but nobody else seems to give him a chance. He is a massive man 6'6", 19st and keeps coming forward, he is 10-0 with 9KOs with the last three fights being against respectable HWs. Dubois is much younger, has the higher ceiling but has a suspect chin and has fought nobody (Gorman probably his biggest win). I 'think' that DD will have the better career but this fight may be a little early.

At the odds DD 2/9 and JJ 9/2, I would much prefer to back JJ. Even if DD does lose he can come again.

I couldn't agree more with everything you've just said there. But I don't blame people for not believing in Joyce. There's something about him, I can't quite put my finger on it, that makes you think he hasn't got what it takes to be a truly great boxer. But first impressions can be deceiving. As you say he's a big man and relentless and he's definitely got the more impressive resume. Experience means everything in boxing.

He's also got that rare talent of being able to pull it out of the bag when it's needed. If I was a betting man, my money would be on JJ.
