Gatherings Of 6 Or More Illegal From Monday ?

I am exempt due to a breathing issue

My stance has always been the same. Shield the elderly and sick and let the rest of us go about our business. My Dad is 70 with COPD, not been out the house/garden since March, sensible behaviour IMO.

the breathing issue that the apnea?

Tbh about the face mask scenario, as I've said I wear one when needed as I don't see it as enough of a breach of my civil liberty to do so, plus I cba with the consequences of not.

But what gets me is that customers need to wear one in supermarkets. Yet the workers don't. The mind baffles.

I'm the same, I dont see the point find the whole face mask situation ridiculous but I do put one on in supermarket just because I cant be doing with the potential hassle of not doing just to buy food.

went in Costa earlier, didn't wear a mask, staff not wearing masks people sat drinking eating buns etc 3 or 4 foot away from queue at counter obvs not wearing masks, only me in queue with no mask getting stared at and heads shuck at by the mongs in the queue with masks on :D
I go in this shop 3 or 4 times a week, never once worn a mask and early on i asked staff if I had to to pick a coffee up, they said not. Initially today I thought ill just go back out to car and grab my mask but when people started Karening I thought fuck that and waited maskless....
fuk da police.

full tren Billy big bollocks

just find it all very funny but pathetic.

cool story bro.

U have to make a stand at some point imo

Masks might seem trivial to some, and I do agree if it was just masks, but it isn’t. I don’t agree with the restrictions being imposed on us, our businesses etc etc so I don’t follow any of them, no matter how trivial they seem when u look at them individually (which u really can’t). It’s a matter of principle it isn’t about “being hard” ffs

doesnt need to realistically be one if people don't take the piss. some of the fishnet shit in america being a prime example of people being assholes for the sake of being assholes. as long as it provides some impedance to outbound air flow, it will do the trick. you could use a pair of tights over your head and achieve the same thing.

it's not there to filter the lurgy etc as people are arguing/assuming, its simply the expulsion radius, which is meant to be used in conjunction with social distancing to reduce potential radius of the viral load blasted out in one cough, breath, sneeze, talk.

facemasks are a pointless argument, the real argument is what things are being chosen to stay open and what is being closed. current track and trace data is showing the major infection rate at this point isn't shops, gyms etc but pubs and parties in close spaces. hopefully the government is paying attention to that data and only closing things that need closing.

The government need to keep pubs open purely for the amount revenue they generate through duty?
The whole things just a contradiction of different rules, a clusterfuck? Can't meet with six people but you can travel on the underground?

yeah, exactly. its the social gatherings that can realistically be classed as non-essential that they are trying to reduce but at the same time they need to guarantee the tax returns.

as far as i'm concerned, shutting things down isn't going to do much at this point as the majority of people who were going to die from it, did. it was already so dispersed in the population before lockdown that nothing much changed the outcome. masks weren't mandatory in shops for months after lock down, so it was still readily getting dispersed onwards and through.

social distancing and masks is about all you can do now without crippling the country, so if people attending parties keep their masks on, its less of a problem. they're not tho, you can see plenty of pics on insta and the like of house parties with like 20 people in a small space all necking on with each other. so if you can stop that happening or at least limit it, its a good start.

The whole thing has been a fuck up, I remember listening to Jeremy Vine on the radio when they flew people out of China to a hospital in Liverpool to quarantine. We knew it was coming but masks weren't even being recommended then? Even this latest ban of six people meeting doesn't start until Monday? If there's a threat you act immediately? During the blitz the air raid sirens went you took cover, you didn't wait all weekend to find a cosy shelter? I can't see people wearing another lock down, restriction of movement. My dad's 70, he doesn't give a fuck, you can't lock him down, he says if he's got to stay in, he may as well be in an old people's home. He wants to enjoy a bit of his retirement before it comes to that? It's all fucked up?!?!?
