Well done Jane
Was always a target I would of liked to achieve, but just keep heading in opposite direction

Result!! Well done, under the 100.
Thanks :) really appreciate it, it's been a hard slog to break this but no going back.

To think I used to lift in the <90's but I'll get back there and maybe even <80kg which is where I'd like to be ultimately.

Thanks plod.. as a 5'3" female I should never have got here but it's done and moving downwards :) Whatever your goals I'm sure you can get there in time... if nothing else this challenge has taught me to keep going.

Bench day

20kg 2x10
30kg 1x10

35kg 1x5
37.5kg 1x3
40kg 1x1

35kg 5x5

Close grip
20kg 5x7 (upping the reps)

Tricep pull downs
plate 3 7x10

bent over front rows
5kg a hand - 5x10

Notes:
Still feeling pants but had an energy drink and got on with it, was worried wouldn't manage 40kg so got a spotter (wife of owner who was nervous as spotting me) thankfully didn't need her as it was fine. :)
Work for today was reps but Goal is to up my reps on 40kg but will do that with a spotter who is more confident and when I'm feeling better. Next time think I'll aim for sets of 37.5kg for 3, then start trying 40kg x2/x3 and so forth. I really want 45kg for next stage on bench so no more baby weights with the cuffs on the bar.. they annoy me! lol

Well done. A fine workout despite being under the weather. Goals are achieveable too :)

yeah not too far away hopefully Just got to push on with the reps and get more confident doing the 40kg on my own and unracking heavier weights. I rack to the top notch but might need to stop doing that and go one lower as have to 'reach' to get it clear which is a bit messy with the 40kg so will be with more - in comps it's fine as I can ask for them to unrack for me.

All just rambling now sorry! lol I'm still twitching from this morning so all good. :)

Oh you're not rambling. I understand your predicament with the bench press notches. You need one inbetween really!
I use the top one as my arms are too long

I should start using the lower one really and see how it goes.. no way my arms are too long! lol I just use it out of habit really. :) Guess none of them are perfect.. I wacked my head on the bar at my comp as mine is higher than theres was so didn't expect the bar to be that low.. must remember that if I lower the bar.. lmao

Slept better apart from youngest waking me twice. Cold is coming off my chest now so coughing a lot.

No gym till saturday when I squat with a bloke from the gym. first squats for over a year.. eek

Off for a diabetes blood test this morning as routine.. my bipolar meds can cause changes in blood sugars so my GP is sending me regularly.. slightly daunting still the side effect of my meds. can only go with it and know my GP is trying her best to manage it if it does happen. and more reason to keep going with my weight loss.

Hope the appointment had a positive outcome.
Good luck with the squats later :)

Hope the results are fine.

Thanks ;) just another twist in the road at the moment. i'm waiting to hear if hte DVLA are going to revoke my driving licence too.

Oohh believe me I know I'm gonna be in a LOT of pain aim is to squat the bar and a bit of weight to see how my depth is.. but mainly just repping the bar this time.
