Client Diets

Since being a PT I've developed several diet plans for clients. Not everyone is a competitive athlete and I've learned most can't stand repetitiveness. Therefore I've created some pretty cool tools and spreadsheets where I've created food groups and portion sizes. Where each food in each group with its individual portion size gives almost identical macro breakdown.

After all my hard work about 30% won't even bother using it, and those that do constantly ask questions about alternatives, or can I eat this or that.

I've done my absolute best to give variation but still I get bombarded by nonsense.

It appears to me people want to eat what the hell they want and still get the results they desire.

I'm at the end of my tether. I can't be rude, they're paying clients, but I really want to respond as follow...

Client. Can I eat food X?
Me. Is food X in the plan?
Client. No
Me. Then NO you can't eat it

Do other trainers suffer this plight? And how do you deal with it?

Yeah I know. The PT lifestyle doesn't leave much free time and what little I have I like to relax body and mind from anything too strenuous like thinking lol

Great to see you back on the forum again. Stick around and post every now and then if you get the time :thumb:

Not @Con Fishing. I just need tips on how to get clients to follow the effing plans I work so hard to create. I'm very personalised with them, taking many factors into account, I think I need to charge about 3 times more to weed out time wasters. Unfortunately I offer free plan with my package, maybe I'm a mug for doing so, but no one gonna get anywhere with just a bunch of PT sessions

Good to have an expert come back on the forum!

Is Pt'ing your full time job?

Regarding your questions... I use a coach, he does my diet but there is play init like you ie swapping potato for rice or pasta or wraps...

I never want to be a competive BB'er but I do enjoy sticking to a diet etc. I also make sure I have one meal a day (tea time) with the family / or Mrs family!

Sounds like you've got a good plan with doing the spreadsheets, be good to have my alternatives all together!

Sorry mate I was joking. There's been some jokes about Con recently!

Do you do online PT'ing? With diet plans etc?

A lot of gym goers don't realise that Diet is just as if not more important than training!

Yes I'm a full time self employed PT. Quit my manufacturing manager job over a year ago and threw myself into it. Got an established appreciative client base, most been with me long term. I'm also a competitive bodybuilder
