@AaronHudson who took the juniors?
As its not stated on their website was it class 1,2,3,4..only short medium and tall...
thats the only reason, i'd like to know where i'd be next year at this show based on these different height classes... the fact me and peter would be in the same class in nabba but in different classes in the PCA surprises me thats all

I'd imagine it's the same as IBFA's, as that's where the Saxon came from which kind of spurred the whole PCA thing... Short, Medium, Tall and Supertall.

that makes some sense but its going to confuse people when these who have qualified go to the PCA finals in june qualifying from a PCA show but will compete in a different class to their qualifier....
at least nabba and the ukbff are consistent lol
You prob already know this mate but IBFA is height in cm minus 100 then convert that to kg and + 6 ( I think it's 6) and that would be your permissible stage weight. Although yes they do still work in tall / short.
But it's flawed isn't it.
Example: My height 1.77cm so that's putting me in athletic over 173cm my bw would be 83kg but I'd still come up against bigger guys (on the scales) or enter the open med height class upto 178cm - I think same rules apply regarding weight. It would be minus 100 + 6.
Eh? Are you talking men's bodybuilding or one of the other classes here?
Men's bodybuilding is just on height, you can weigh whatever you want. Classics is based on height/weight ratio.
Perhaps it's just the athletic class that has the height and weight restriction to each entrant. Athletic class still wearslsimg trunks tho, not board shirts or those dodgy not pants style shorts. I can't find the link to the rules online. I have stumbled across it before.
Lol I don't know how to explain it. I am referring to IBFA the screen shot above is from the comp coming up this weekend. One of the categories is 'athletic' but I am unsure in the criteria of athletic in terms of do they prefer you to have a classic style physique or do they like pure mass all I know is they have height categories for athletic BUT your weight is also taken into account for that category. So my height in cm minus 100 = 77cm this is then converted to kg and you have then to add 6kg to that which would give you you're permissible stage weight on the day. So I would be 83kg max. As the class is 173cm & over I could potentially be against bigger people in terms of bw does that make sense. Also the athletic class do wear trunks not short shorts.I think you're confused mate.
We were on about bodybuilding. I have no idea on the other men's classes. PCA don't do boardshorts, it's the "short shorts".

The height classes are standard across the board from Open UK onwards Id imagine? I think you're talking in reference to you winning Muscle Talk last year, which wasn't officially a PCA show at the time so didn't fit the PCA height criteria so it can't be "consistent" when it wasn't a PCA show.
@Pscarb would know more?
Who cares what class you're in anyway? Just rock up on the day and do your shit
