Naringin

Just in case anyone is curious why...

Naringin and hematocrit:

"This study was based on in vitro observations that naringin isolated from grapefruit induced red cell aggregation and evidence that clumped red cells are removed from the circulation by phagocytosis. The effect on hematocrits of adding grapefruit to the daily diet was determined using 36 human subjects (12 F, 24 M) over a 42-day study. The hematocrits ranged from 36.5 to 55.8% at the start and 38.8% to 49.2% at the end of the study. There was a differential effect on the hematocrit. The largest decreases occurred at the highest hematocrits and the effect decreased on the intermediate hematocrits; however, the low hematocrits increased. There was no significant difference between ingesting 1/2 or 1 grapefruit per day but a decrease in hematocrit due to ingestion of grapefruit was statistically significant at the p less than 0.01 level."

Just eat half a grapefruit with your breakfast, says it there at the end.
Was gonna buy grapefruit juice but reckon it would be better (and probs cheaper) to buy powder or caps. That way could use a measured amount and probs a slightly higher amount than in the study too. Seen 500mg caps on Amazon £11 for 60

Would the juice be the same? Dunno if the processing would destroy it?

Worth looking into.

Wouldn't bother dosing it higher as it says there's no noticeable difference between half and a full one.
Not too sure as I know the skin and pith contain the highest amounts but fuck eating those lol. Will need to do some googling at work tomorrow and see

I think it increases the absorbtion of some meds by blocking the enzyme that would usually limit absorbtion...it's that or similar. Can make the dose of said meds dangerous

Check your not using any meds on the interactions list. Loads on it if you google.

I was eating a grapefruit every morning but it's a ball ache. Post up if you decent source of raaaaaww

Yeah, good point for anyone else reading. Luckily I don't take any meds so no contraindications.

Will do, this is the best price I have found so far
