Supps You Run Year Round

I’ve become very disillusioned by it all really.

I have a scoop of whey in my weetabix and that’s it. I have fish oil caps to use up but I’m not taking them regularly. I’ve stopped with a multi-vit, but do have a berocca and green tea out of habit.

I don’t care about macros and am only keeping an eye on calories to balance out if I have high or low days.

I don’t have anything pre, intra or post workout but water and still train fasted.

From what we read I’m doing everything wrong and yet am in the best condition of my life at 42 this year. Go figure. [emoji23][emoji23]

Keep it simple chaps. [emoji6]

Simple and cheap.

I've not used any over the counter supps in the best part of two years, and in that time I got bigger and leaner than ever before. So I'm with HG

Zma
D3
Have used Super Bio Curcumin all winter and will prob do the same next year plus echinacia to stave off/clear up illnesses contracted from our children.

Have used sea salt for a while but currenlty actively putting it on most foods cooked and some in water especially first thing after watching all Stan Efferdings vids on YT.

hows he look ?

He's in good shape, big lad too, got some huge delts on him.

God knows what damage he's done to himself though, he's 23 and does about 2g of gear a week from what he's told me. Smokes a lot of ice too and has very little sleep with a very physical job, certainly a heart attack waiting to happen before he's 30 if he doesn't reign it in.

He'll die hench though.

It’s all perception though mate. Your keeping simple is most Peoples complicated as fuck for example.

I wouldn’t call putting your food in myfitnesspal and keeping a record of your bodyweight daily, your cal intake and an eye on your macros keeping it simple.

That’s about as complicated as it gets for most. After a few months doing it it just becomes normal though and is pretty much effortless.

I think we're talking slight cross purposes, although a lot of what you listed I'm not doing anymore, and I have simplified things to pretty much calories only.

As far as a supplement point of view, I've simplified greatly, and the point I was trying to make is that I don't even care too much on macros these days, let alone L-Glutamine, Casein, Vitamin-C, Fish-Oil, Pre/Intra/Post workout, 30 min protein window, eating carbs late, P+F, P+C meals, grazing, slow release carbs etc...

I'm not calling BS on all of it, but for the majority of us, we just want to look half decent, which I think we can do with the basics of training hard and hitting the right calories.

I read there is health benefits but i mainly use as its fun in the bedroom ha ha. No sides at all like viagra.
Yes, Viagra has side effect.
I am using VIGO FM 100

I just have the occasional protein shake from the shop that’s all maybe the reason I’m a fat cunt who just eats constantly [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Citrus Bergamot

Ubiquinol
Omegas
Vitamin D and K
Evening primrose Oil

Iron - big one for gear users who give blood. Got your levels checked if you struggle with lethargy or depression boys.

Lysine - increases iron absorption

Vit C

High dose B vitamins + Folic acid

Vit D3 + Calcium over the winter and spring months, don’t do it if it’s sunny as it gives me restless legs at night. Weird paradox.

Circumin
Fish oils
Garlic
Magnesium
Multi vit and mineral
Arginine
St John’s Wort - Helps a lot with mood and anxiety. Makes me calm as fuck.

Melatonin before bed, helps me sleep.

Whey and creatine obvz.

Greens powder if I’m too busy to eat a decent meal with veg/salad.

That’s about it.

I’ve noticed as my gear use has gone down as I’ve got older I’ve started focusing
more on health and supps and doing cardio.

I care more about my health than I do about how I look, about 50lb lighter as a result but I feel tremendous. Can’t hammer it forever can you.

Not if you wanna reach a pensionable age. Full time crossfitter now..... Cringe.
