Hey Scott.

How can I get a hard copy of this to over here in UK?

Hope your well buddy [emoji3]

Hilly

It's a fantastic book.
100% worth it (In fact I had stated to Scott that he should charge more because the content in here is invaluable. Meanwhile other "coaches" sell pre made cookie cutter plans for much more money).
If you enjoy learning about your own body then reading it will help you greatly.
Even if you have a coach and tend to just follow the plan and not to think for your self.
It would be wise to read and think for your self if your plan is really as smart as you first thought.

I have the PDF file which i really like as there are hyperlinks all over the text so you can jump around with ease.
I probably will purchase the hard copy also just as I like to have a collection of various text books.
Text book is the best way to describe it.
Less opinion and more like thoughts backed up by facts.

I actually said to one of my clients yesterday "there really is no one in the fitness industry that i look up to besides Scott Stevenson. When he speaks or writes on a topic I always go "hmm i never thought of it like that". This doesn't happen 99.9% of the time when i hear/read what other fitness industry characters say".

While you're at it, drop the $20 or whatever it is and buy the Fortitude Training book.
I don't care if you will never train in such a fashion.
The information in there will give you plenty of little tweaks towards your own approach which is invaluable.

The fitness attitude is strange IMO.
- Will pay thousands of dollars for main name coach that ends up giving you perhaps 1 hour of his/her time by the end of the coaching. Here's a training plan i have made up, here's a drug cycle i know will work (lots of drugs always works if you can tolerate it), here's a diet I use on clients. Then each week goes either "keep going" "drop X number of carbs/fats" "Add another drug" "have a carb up day" "have a cheat meal".
- Will pay thousands for unproven research drugs because some guy on a forum said it gave him 20lb of growth but because he has 10k posts you go "oh that must be right then".
- But then will hesitate at the idea of paying $60 for a book that helps them make smarter decisions for them selves down the line.

^^^It's actually insane :-) but a lot of what we do isn't over rational if one really thinks about it.

Two thumbs up!

Cornelius @Con - THANK YOU for that, especially the part about what you mentioned to your client. As you know (and have read from me many a time), positively influencing others is where it's at for me, so your words resonate profoundly. :)

I've had some interesting comments about the price. One coach came up to me at the Olympia and the first words out of his mouth were that he balked pretty badly at the price of the book. He never retracted that statement... OTOH, I was just messaging with someone today on FB who told me he was flabbergasted that it was so cheap. I think you're dead on with your assessment of the perspective / attitude in the fitness industry, and will add that books in this genre are not coming out regularly, so I don't think folks know quite how to gauge value. (The oddities of how we size things up value-wise is foundational to marketing... )

@Mr mac - I'm sure it's already out there as a free download. The thing is - especially when it comes to this book - I have the sense that folks who are looking download this one for free will be very unlikely to get a lot out of the book. There's a perspective that comes with intellectual theft or simply wanting to find the cheapest way that, I suspect, devalues information and probably makes this book largely useless to someone who tries to get the book in that manner. I would guess that those folks are in large part not what I'd call a thinking (wo)man's bodybuilders, but instead are looking for magic bullet fixes.

I've been on some of the download sites and have seen accounts from guys who've posted dozens of books in copyright violation. I sort of imagine some of the people downloading those books being kind of like rats pressing on levers that trigger the reward centers of the brain... They download the newest book / program / illicit file and have some odd sense that they've just stolen the holy grail right out of the gods' hands and know will grow into the impressive, awe-inspiring, jaw-dropping monstrous bodybuilders they've always wanted to be, when in reality, it's just a quick buzz that lasts for a short while before they're involuntarily motivated to scan the sites for something with new promise of gainz and/or getting shredded. ;) (OTOH, if someone feels they need to steal the book from me b/c they're doing so poorly financially, then I'm happy for that person to have it.)

I'd not try to read any book on an iPhone personally, so I'm not really the one to ask, TBH. Theoretically, the Kindle should look better as you can dynamically change text size and the text should flow to match screen size and orientation, but I'm not a fan of what I've seen, personally. (Sorry - probably not much help, but I'd hate for you to buy it as an e-book and not be able to read it.)

If you want an easily portable version, you can get a cheap e-reader (used / refurb) on amazon for about 40 quid or so, which could serve you in the future, too. :)
