home gym page on fb has people posting regularly who has what stock etc but stuff goes quick.
bumpers seem to be what everyone is after.
I find it funny when people post their lifting vids with huge bumpers, pressing or dl'ing 100kg and it looks like something Bluto would be lifting on an old popeye cartoon.
all done for their fb buddies who dont lift and think its same as them blokes on WSM on Christmas telly

I saw yesterday a gym in Bridgend was selling a shed load of Watson kit on ebay at v good prices. Suspect its gone bankrupt.
These places selling plates and bars as mentioned are a law suit ready to happen. I suspect half haven't even registered for tax purposes or as a company. You'd be fucked if something happened to someone if you're not a limited company.

saw something yesterday about xercise4less going into administration.
couldn't find anything myself with a quick search so might of been bollocks but theres going to be some casualties of all this shit.

I just sold six plates and a barbell for £300. Having my arm bit off minutes after listing it. Probably should have asked for more but it was already more than I pays for it originally.

Saw an article a couple of weeks ago about golds filing for administration.

Couple of smaller gyms I know have been OK during as lots have carried on laying to support them. Some of them reckon it will be once open again that will cause issues, imagine more outgoings on things like cleaning, restrictions on numbers and new members as well as things like day passes that lots rely upon

Hopefully there'll be lots of used equipment hitting the market from all these gyms closing then.

Plus there will be a percentage that have invested in home gyms and won't go back. Minority yes, plus people will also get annoyed if there's a booking system or time limits on sessions.

Yeh it's the time limit and booking that will do me in.

The smaller gym I go to might be OK but my main gym is a Barbell Club that is out of the back of a leisure centre. I can't see them allowing us to remain separate from them on the booking and time allocation

I never went mad and was patient, managed to get an 7ft novotec olympic bar for 70 quid, it was sold as a B grade as they was small indentations but definitely nothing to make the integrity suffer.
Fitkituk, I got some 62.5kg Jordan dumbells for 215 quid.
An ipf rated flat bench from mirafit.
Just gotta look and keep looking.
For instance, Origin fitness have some decent price hex dumbells available as well as plates currently.

Plenty of gyms going under and flogging their equipment.

My mate just got a load of barbells and a rack and a full set of dumbells and a rack. Drove to London and picked them up.
