Thor Retired

I saw an interview with Eddie Hall where he said that the first time he ever set foot in a gym he could Bench 180kg naturally.

Yeah right mate...

I’ll have a look mate.

I thought he retired after Iceland SM?
Yeah he goes into it all in that interview. He had already decided before the comp that it was his last one. Really good interviews Loz has been doing through his series, the Travis Ortmayer one especially.

Fair play to Thor, he has won everything he could in the sport and made himself a fortune and he can walk away now with his health and enjoy his family and money. I think the way the comps have went and weights have increased the days of multiple times winners could be done

Maybe, Maybe not 180kg but he's clearly got genetic predisposition to being good at "athletic" stuff. There's lots of anecdotal stories about person X never stepping foot in a gym before but always fastest kid at school, strongest etc then discovering weights a bit later on and being an utter freak.

I heard in the interview where he said he was retiring that he has now gone back to basics, built him self a garden gym and is currently smashing out the BOR and cramming in as many sets of skull crushers as possible.
