Piracetam and Alpha GPC

So as you may have seen from my last thread of Nootropics i have started taking Piracetam and Alpha GDC.

For those that are not aware of it Piracetam is a member of the class of drugs known as nootropics or 'smart drugs'. Nootropics are known commonly as cognitive enhancers. Piracetam is similar in molecular structure to the amino acid pyroglutamate. Piracetam and pyroglutamate have the same base chemical structure, the 2 -oxo-pyrrolidine, but they differ by a side chain. Pyroglutamate is 2-oxo-pyrrolidine carboxylic acid, and piracetam is 2-oxo-pyrrolidine acetamide

Considered a "smart drug" or nootropic, piracetam is reported to enhance cognitive functions of the brain such as memory, attention, intelligence, etc. Piracetam is believed to increase blood flow between the two hemispheres of the brain. It's also been reported to protect brain tissue from various physical and chemical abrasions such as alcohol damage.

I got them yesterday in the post and had my first does of 4G Piracetam and 1g Alpha GDC last night.

It tastes RAAAAAAAAAAAAAANK like worst that any amino's etc.

Took my second dose this morning with fish oils as Fat helps the absorbtion of the Choline in the Alpha GDC.

Effects so far i have noticed are increased focus, overall mood enhancment and my words flow a little better, less ummmmms are errrrs.

Will update this for anyone interested.

Sounds interesting

Any studies and hard evidence of them working? I'd sayl its one of those things were placebo affects could probably slip in easily

If not, limitless here I come lol

it works instantly does it? no build up time required?

do effects get better over time??

It does build up over time but due to high dosing at the start most feel effects right away. Your brain becomes more active when taking piracetam, but when your off it; your brain utilizes the time to create more neurons. So over time your brain creates the necessary amount of neurons to sustain the effect at a normal state. This time off is during sleep and inbetween daily doses.

Edited title to Alpha GPC which I think it should be unless GDC is something else, in which case I'll look very silly!

very interesting , iv never heard of anything like this. so what are the potential risks , if any?

can it be used to help intake of information or just memory

there are little to no know sides are far as i can see.

More on it here

nootropics article

"The toxicity of Piracetam and its "cousins" is amazingly low- almost non-existent. In acute toxicity studies, intravenous doses of Piracetam given to rats (8g/ Kg bodyweight) and oral doses given to mice, rats, and dogs (10g/ Kg or more) produced no toxicity

The toxicity of Piracetam and its "cousins" is amazingly low- almost non-existent. In acute toxicity studies, intravenous doses of Piracetam given to rats (8g/ Kg bodyweight) and oral doses given to mice, rats, and dogs (10g/ Kg or more) produced no toxicity.

This would be equivalent to 560-700 grams (1.23 to 1.54 pounds) for a 154 pound human. Rats given 100-1000mg/ Kg orally for 6 months and dogs given 10,000mg/ Kg orally for one year showed no toxic effect, a teratogenic (birth defect causing) effects were found, either (Tacconi and Wurtman 1986).

The Piracetam-nootropics are among the toxicologically safest drugs ever developed"

@warrenblackburn Also helps with memory yes

Piracetam improves memory and enhances cognitive functions - mechanism of action

I'll definitely be keeping tabs on this.

So how are you recording results, just going by general feel? Will you be doing any cognitive tests, memory tests?

Could become the first lab created chemically enhanced human, test tren mast, nootropics, cialis, mt2, COME AT ME WORLD lol

Looks like its made by supplement companies? does pharma stuff exist? If i was going to take high doses for extended periods id be wary of impurities.

Although the toxicity is low, I wouldn't discount higher doses causing some issues. Interesting topic though and I'm currently trying it out.

Yeah after a quick read in places it seems you'd need to be careful of metal impurities too.

Any specific brands that are reputable?

I hadn't really considered that side of it actually, although that may well be a cause for concern when buying. My concerns would be that where it's altering your brain chemistry, it could have unwanted effects as well as positive, particularly at large doses that haven't really been tested in humans over a long period of time (at least as far as I can see).

Maybe check out Doc Simon - In 800mg tablets and as cheap as most powders, saves the bother of capping or drinking it.

FWIW at the dose stated, I cut my reaction time significantly on the visual reaction time here - cognitive fun!

Without, I'm around 260ms on average. With it I'm more like 170ms.

Have tried since to match the times when not taking it and I can't so it's not just practice.
