    I've seen lifting slings utilized on either side of the bar adjusted to working range which could be useful if training alone. similar to how you would setup gymnastic rings inside a rack (chin-up bar mounted etc) As already stated i find it easiest if you dump the bar on the sables/catchers...

    Another alternative would be rack pulls with the safeties/sabers set low but just above the 225mm radius of the bumper plate, this would give you almost a full pull from the floor but without the bounce problem from the rubber. Wont do the posh 28mm bars they probably use any good though ;)
