I didn't drink on show day, except for a glass of wine pre stage. However, looking at vascularity post stage drink, I may actually have about half a litre 20 minutes before I go on.

Didn't drink anything. I was so pleased with result on day I only ate a couple of bananas from breakfast to stage. I did however have citruline malate, aakg, beta alanine, electrolyte powder, and 1000mg niacin in my glass of wine pre stage.

There was a few advantages with my protocol. I didn't have to eat sodiumless food because I was fasting during sodium depletion. I didn't get any bloating, strange but true considering the food I ate.

I based much of my logic on how most bodybuilders look day after show, after eating lots of crap carb foods with sodium. So I got myself depleted then did it a day early.

Not a morsel of food passed my lips from 22:00 Thursday to 20:00 Friday. Trust me, by time I shit loaded Friday, I was a sponge, 4 days no carbs, followed by a day fasting.

Well you seem to be a person who absolutely SMASHES food day to day and youre not exactly obese; meaning you have a pretty high metabolism.

So why would you try a starvation mode type of thing?

@B|GJOE - hey buddy, long time no chat! Out of interest, do you generally do anything via diet in regards to deliberately selecting high potassium foods at all during the run in to a show (avocados, bananas, potatoes, salmon, apricots kiwi fruit etc)?

Maybe I wouldn't do it for the same length, maybe one day or so to see how my body then reacts to the food.

But the plan for my cut so far is keeping carbs in every day, never go zero carb.

This was first time I did this after failing so many times to nail it. It was the brain child of my own body knowledge and accumulated learning a from past failures? I intentionally didn't even think about potassium, it actually scares me increasing potassium whilst reducing sodium, I don't think it's a totally safe practice.
