Fully spilled after last refeed yest. 12 days on lowest calories now to eek condition and flatten off. Steps at 9k still. Should be a fun couple weeks!
Obviously this way of dieting works for you
Do you think a diet that remained consistent throughout with no depletion and refeeds would be as successful?

nope.

I’d flatten out drastically and my metabolism would crash. The way I approach dieting is to fill and spill and use that excess glycogen to fuel strength progression and thus muscle gains while getting leaner.

Was sick this morning after I shovelled in my egg whites. Had to have the day off work which was a welcome respite tbh. Still managed to get my steps in slept all day and felt better for a light glute and ham sesh on the evening.

will monitor my guts over the next few days and make sure I go easy on the sweetener as I’ve been using a lot of calorie free sauces which I think were the culprit.

I would just pull out the Sweeteners now mate
Your body is at its most sensitive and the slightest thing it doesn't like will cause inflammation
I started using those skinny calorie free sauces during my prep and they destroyed my guts. I thought it was from increasing veg so stuck at it for a while but everything massively improved once a dropped the artificial shite
I also got the shits badly in my final week, not sure why but obviously that had a huge impact on carbing up and the final look
Something you definitely want to avoid
 
I’ve only dieted all the way down once but I remember near the end natural sauerkraut or kimchi made a big difference to my guts when I was down to 1800 cals and sub 50g of carbs. It also added a lot of flavour when everything was getting bland as more things came out at the end.
