Quick and once you get an idea on timings you can just chuck stuff in for 15 mins and wait for the alarm. No checking turning stirring etc

Only issue with them is making the effort to relearn how to cook everything vs how you did it previously. Well worth investing the time though as they ars very convenient.

Do you need to add oil or anything or can you just walk stuff in and let it cook?

Depends on the model I think mate. Most use a tiny amount of oil. I’ve cooked potatoes without oil and they were nice enough - sure they’d have been better with oil though. Lots of trial and error finding what works for you but well worth the effort.

I cooked some oven chips in it for the kids the other day, no oil, came out far better than from a conventional oven apparently and took 7 minutes to cook.

The Sage Smart Oven I have is the same thing Fouad Abiad seems to cook everything in his YouTube videos.

On mine if I've cut say 400g sweet potato into chips/wedges.
I cook on low say 160 for 20mins. Then I whack on 200 to crispen them right up for 5 or 10mins.

Sounds easy. I love sweet potatoes fries but it’s a lot of fucking around sometimes when busy so to do em as easy as that would be great.

I feel the air frier is a lot easier, and get a much more 'fried' tasting result.

Sweet potato fries I haven’t cracked yet. Still seem a bit soggy. Regular potato chips tho tiny splash of olive oil and they are delicious.

Pre cooked ones or chips from scratch? I'm big on time savings like, so if these things can cook a bit quicker I might get one

    Maris pipers
    Clean and peel
    Boil for 10 mins
Then Into very hot oil for 10 mins

    Delicious

If you put them into very hot oil they don’t absorb as much

Sounds a plan. When I thought I may become a bodybuilder, I bought air fryer and rice cooker etc etc. Never use them.

Of course, I cook fook all anyway as I have a missus so, when I get back, I will remind her to use these contraptions.
