I train for my own satisfaction,I'm just a ****ty powerlifter and ****ty bodybuilder rolled up in one lol.
I just think of myself as "someone who trains". Although at times I train like a bodybuilder I don't really aspire to be one or thought of as one.
lol i like that, think i'll adopt it. But if you're a ****ty powerlifter and a ****ty bodybuilder, i don't even make the chart yet
I used to get quite deep on this question, going into how I didnt consider myself a bodybuilder, but rather a guy that plays with bodybuilding. Nah fvck that I'm a bodybuilder, simple. Next question Hey, this is a landmark for this board!! Its first bodybuilder definition related thread!!! May it be the first of many
I know a few chaps in the US who describe themselves as powerbuilders, as their goals are a mix of bodybuilding and powerlifting. I hope one of them in particular will join us here on this board, as he is a seriously strong chap who has made some of the most consistent progress out of anyone I have known, and has done so year in year out, That brought to mind this: I would like to try doing that one day. Looks like a lot of fun. J
One reason that I am keen that people who are trying to build their body's feel free to call themselves bodybuilders, is that some lads seem so shy when first starting out, fearing ridicule for calling themselves a bodybuilder, when there body is quite different from their image of a pro bodybuilder. IMO this can hamper them getting stuck in. J
I dont lift weights to change to shape of my body, but my body changes. I must be an accidental bodybuilder then? lol But no, id not class myself as a bodybuilder
The word "bodybuilder" does bring up negative images in most peoples brains. Its like you completely label your self as a person. Its not Con the man who has the hobby of bodybuilding, its Con the bodybuilder.
