Basic First Time Insulin Use

@AaronHudson also said he started at higher carbs to cover usage & tapered down his carbs until he hit a 'sweet spot'... which I presume means until he went hypo  so kinda contradicting himself a touch.

hornets nest- poked :D

OK didn't explain this too well...

If you usually use 50g of carbs intra workout do that and then lower it if you were OK.

ALWAYS keep a can of coke or something with you if you used insulin. Thats common sense. Diabetics always have sugars with them just in case.

The issue is the amount of carbs needed will alter. Heavy quads vs biceps on a Saturday for da club innit

would tailoring insulin TO SUIT CARBS not mean sticking at you're 50g carbs & tapering insulin up? the end results gonna be the same...you're gonna go hypo regardless :D

shut up aaron

I've seen a few posts by clients of milos whatshisname who's had people doing absurd amounts of insulin around the "workout window"... talking in excess of 80iu... and we're only talking guys around 200-220lbs here, so not overly monstrous freaks.

Thats just fucking ridiculous tbh. If I were him I'd be shitting myself in case one of his clients fucked it up and ended up dying. On his head be it. This is why I'd never give advise on how to do it.

My best buddy is type 1 hints where I get mine from lol (free) [emoji4]

He's the same goes nowhere without sugars he just don't wanna risk it so I'm pretty much the same.

I agree here I felt just slightly light headed and temp rise after legs but after shoulders and biceps today just got the slight temp rise was hardly fuck all maybe even in my head.

Saturdays Back session is when I reach 10iu and I will be having 80g carbs with my drink.

These guys must be banging in huge amounts of carbs to cover their ass from death.

I'm just wanting something I can see work at the lowest dosage humanly possible. Im simply not willing to go mental and leave myself fucked

Although some time ago I did say I'd never go down this route and here we are........lol

Just he careful of insulin sensitivity. Time on and time off and all that.

I haven't used it consistently (odd shot here and there) for over a year now.

Will do mate. I'm religious with this and will ALWAYS get it right but again it could bite me in the ass so will be as careful as I possibly can.

I'm not expecting pounds upon pounds of stage weight but I am expecting to see a good difference in the mirror. Once I've ran it long enough with my diet all right and training spot on.

Oh found this photo out earlier from pre nabba Midlands/Britain.

Spotted your post about me being a fat mess at the Britain (which I was) that was after 3 weeks of oral and intravenus antibiotics up until 10 days before the Midlands.

After everything I'd gone through with the infection, my body being a mess, markers all over the place, unable to train and having doctors and specialists telling me I wouldn't be recovered in time to make the show I was determined to make the show. I did and somehow I still managed to come third and qualify for the Britain.

But this is before having the infection over 270lbs, very much on the way to not being the "fat mess" I was left with when my body was fucked ;)
Thread about insulin turns into a post a pic of myself

@Con tha u brah

You were well in the way. Well I didn't know you went through all that. Makes me feel I right cunt now haha. I said too my mate when I was there I don't know why he's on that stage there's gotta be another reason and there ya go. I first saw you compete as a first timer at the Britain think it was 2012 sure you got 4th that day. Thought Jesus he's a fair lump of tissue.

Haha yeah mate I didn't wanna do the show. My Mrs encouraged me. Said I'd gone through all that I may as well see it through. I didn't even bother getting up for the night show, I sat and watched it.

Literally got to Southport, just said fuck it I'm gonna carb load and be as big and ugly as possible. Nothing to lose.

I was supposed to do the the saxon classic but I was even worse for that.

2012 was my best look. After that show I did the nac British open and won the novice and overall. All been downhill since there. Too many voodoo tricks and listening to idiots thinking they knew best for me. Never again haha

Aye all that being said then doing the Britain wasn't the worst idea. I'm sure you'll be back to put it right one day.

Nobody will know your own body like yourself. Going from that pic you got yourself on the right road. Plenty of time for you that's for sure
