Another way is simply doing push ups between benches..I mention this as the OP mentioned Vince Gironda..he liked a version of this.
Maybe you need a new training strategy..a Tri set with Dip, push ups between benches & flys using rings. Also favoured by gironda
Lean forward for more chest activation, simple Add weight to make it more difficult Leg position makes a difference tbf The exercise Meadows does requires more core strength and hits more lower chest
