Best Natural Supplements for Muscle Growth in 2025

Guys - based on the latest products out there what do you think are some of the best natural supplements today?

Creatine - everyone should take this really, if you're not clued up already there's so much research on this and should be a staple IMO
Intra BCAAs - preference maybe, I like to add this in, extra protein and a bunch of benefits, though some anecdotal
Whey Protein - if you consider it a supplement? Always in the morn and after training for me
Casein - ideal for night time mostly

A joint support supplement could also be beneficial.

I don't buy in to much else nowadays really, pre workouts can be a nice addition, I don't get along with caffeine so don't tend to use one. There's a lot of 'nice to haves' but the difference they'll make to most gym goers is probably negligible.

Anything you've heard of recently you're curious about? I'm probably not up on the latest fad supps, just go with the tried and tested stuff.

I am 100% with you on this list!

In terms of new or trending supplements, I’ve read about sleep aids like apigenin or magnesium glycinate which are gaining traction, especially for recovery. I have no personal experience of using these.

Hadn't heard of either tbh, just had a quick read and seems there could be some benefits to them. Not that expensive either to trial a month of each I suppose. I think if you've the money to spare it could be worthwhile, personally I'd just spend it on more protein, creatine or whole foods though with the goal being to build more muscle - these kind of supps would come into the nice to have category for me.

As an aside, this can however get quite expensive quickly each month adding more supps in to your routine. The cost/ reward would need to factor in. If money isn't a factor, it would be nice to 'optimise' everything and use a range of supplements that could 'potentially' add benefits. Even the bulk suppliers for supplements don't seem that cheap nowadays, or it could just be the crippling UK economy!

You have raised an important point and I have noticed the same issue with price rises which got me curious.
One driver is dairy price which has gone up in last couple of years that has caused increase in whey protein prices. But there are also other factors in play like increased demand, import duties on stuff coming from EU post Brexit etc.
This is a very relevant topic for our forum so I will do more research and write something more informed
