I would imagine with someone like that then cutting the grass becomes border line stroke territory
200 is enough for me with my frame
And ‘bonecrusher’ isn’t exactly Brian shaw is he
Frame plays a massive part I reckon, like I can’t help but think for all Eddie hall is doing rocking around at 27st on his frame something is going to give before long
So many people lick his arsehole though, the guys hands are so fat he can't even type out a sentence on his phone without it looking like a chimp has just mashed the screen with its knuckles.
I wouldn't take cycle/training advice from someone who,
A) Looks like absolute shit
B) Has a multitude of health issues relating to PED abuse
C) Works with the police on drug cases involving PEDs
I actually used him as a coach before he was well known(if he is?)
Tbf to him he was really helpful, would phone me and even invited me up to train with him and stay at his house. But I never did I just done my usual and didn’t listen to what he was saying, span my wheels and kept on looking the same year after year
I cuda typed tha
This is the weird thing at some point (I believe late 80s) 200 in good to great shape was deemed small and skinny. Then the 90s hit and bodyweight number was everything and I think a lot never recovered from that. You look at some classic physiques from years gone with great genetics standing onstage at 180.
I think @Con has competed several times 180-200 ripped. That's still some serious mass on the average frame. I will get flamed for this I know
Yea I’m 6ft 9 though
But look at Shaun Clarida he’s only 178lbs on stage I believe but he is quite a small dude
Not called the giant killer for no reason
Anyone who can do ohp in the smith machine is a short ass lol
Dave mods a Facebook group I’m on... god forbid you disagree with him on anything (even if, like me, knowing the particular subject is your actual salaried day job) or you get flamed to fuck by his nuthuggers.
Not him himself, mind you, he’s quite level-headed in discussions — but I was getting PMs of rabid trolls saying “you’ll never be as big as Dave”... wtf... I wouldn’t actually let myself!!
Totally agree on the irony of harm reduction and working with the cops on PED cases — he even kind of boasts that he has insider knowledge on future legislations and users won’t like what’s coming.
I also don’t like his ‘PED abusers’ (which he states to be anyone using for anything but therapeutic purposes) when he himself had no sporting or competitive purpose for megadosing himself to ill health and lacked the discipline or inclination to ever pit himself against even himself in formal, organized competition.
There’s such a difference in doing what you can to get a competitive edge, IMO, than just smashing obscene amounts of stuff ‘cos you want people look at you: or why call yourself ‘the freak’?
PERFOMANCE ENHANCING DRUGS. Exactly what they are for me. No performance, no need for them. Exactly why I stopped using from 2003 to 2016.
Dosent sound promosing that legalisation doesit ?
What wud use all guess... upgrade to a class b?
Be terrible news...
I know first hand what it’s like: it’s class B here where I live. Not good of it comes in in UK... actually worth cops’ time then.
O shit yer forgot its class b already for u! Recon thats coming then ye? Would be alot more troublesome getting hold of stuff am sure!
Dat stock up feel
I dunno if it’s coming but it seems to be what Dave is implying at times.
Lovin da power trip isnt he by the seems dunno why u wudnt just say?
O well c or b itll still be around
Wow that’s a big old break from gear that fella.
As for the’Freak’yea it’s all a load of bollocks. He looks shite as a bb. Maybe he had a more power lifter look to him.
The tv work and then doing the film and his own experiment has made him quite a well known figure in this scene, so if he’s making money it’s clear that he has no real interest in looking like he ‘should’ as a bodybuilder
