I want to take the misses to her first bodybuilding competition, show her what it's all about, hopefully open her eyes to it and maybe she'll learn to understand why I'm so fucking crazy. She just doesn't get it....
Can anyone recommend a good show. Something that will impress even a sceptic. Were located in Worthing, west Sussex but willing to travel, say 100ish miles? Or more if it's a proper good one. I'm out the loop with all this.
There will be many shows throughout the year with various federations
Just Google bodybuilding show calendar 22 and take your pic
The main feds are PCA, ukbff, nabba, and fitex
I've competed with 3 of those feds and the fitex was by far the best for organisation, venue and overall enjoyment/entertainment as a show
PCA probably had a slightly better standard of competitors but fitex is a brand new fed and I expect that to improve this year
As for taking you mrs to get her on board, personally I think it will do the opposite imo
Obviously I may be wrong, but think about it
If she's not into it now when you are doing it, then do you think she'll enjoy watching 100s of men and women who she doesn't know, practically naked on stage covered in fake tan?
I think all the classes will just look the same to her which will make it a very long and boring day.
Don't get me wrong here, I'm all for getting people involved but bodybuilding is a very niche sport that only a handful of people understand and I'm talking from experience.
My mrs doesn't get it, she doesn't like it, she doesn't even go to the gym and she certainly wouldn't go to a show just for fun
But she supports me, which is different, because she knows its what I love doing and it makes me happy. She has been to my shows out of support but I wouldn't expect her to do anything else
But that works both ways, I dont necessarily agree with everything she does but I'll always support her
