Come on then, post some more tasty pics in the Big Pic section...
Yes, because I'm a girl.
Don't get me wrong - I'm used to being stared at in the street - bright coloured hair makes that a given, in fact I rarely notice it anymore, but it's weird when random girls who have seen your status or something on a friend's FB come up to you in a club and ask to feel your muscles, then tells you how she has none....I get some negative attention too (though not so much lately), along the lines of 'Should you be lifting that? You should be 'toning' *spit* and doing lots of cardio to shape your legs'
People like that tend to get the Death Glare
I think it's really interesting that the majority don't enjoy the attention mainly, the perception of people that train is geared around vanity and showing off when in fact it's the complete opposite.
hadone yesterday obviously he trained a bit and his mate carried some decent size, at the top of his voice in the centre of town he goes.'now thats a big back some real size there' now the words themselves are quite complimentary but the tone you just knew he was taking the piss i just laughed and walked off
u love me really
i thinks its vanity , concious or sub- concious.....when ur big u feel good...u don't really need anyone telling u caz u feel it, but when u feel small ( when ur not)
you start to feel self concious, low, confidence takes a knock....both emotions are vanity based.
theres a big difference between vanity and narcissism
I think that comes down to a lot of insecurities people have that get them hooked to training in the first place though.
That and the constantly wanting to be better, so you can't really take the compliments when they are directed at you.
I'm not huge, but there's times when I get disapproving looks from crossfit trainers - that kinda makes me happy actually!
They probably think you train lazy, lol.
I have done some crossfit, hardest training programs i have ever done!
That's a bloody good point...
Depends what attention it is. For example I just got from Gym and my Mum, Sister and Brother in law were at my house. I limped in walking like John Wayne, and the comments just got on my tits to be hones.
'Is it worth it.....'
'Why do you do it'
I don't expect them to understand, just wish they would shut the **** up.
Very similar situation - get it from family a lot....to the extent they've been just insulting with the way I look.
Do they call you wolverine or insult you about your paleness ?
Lol - I wish they were that inventive - just what's been heard before...I look gross, I'm ruining my health eating and training the way I do, etc.
Separate names with a comma.
