De load week

So this week as the heading says has been a de load week. Was never much of a believer in them when I was younger. However my old bones have really appreciated it. Did my 4 sets deadlift then curls, one armed rows, shoulder press, dips & reverse crunches on my bench as a superset x 3. Back on to my regular routine next week deadlift back up to body weight 92kg then x 4-5 superset. Might up my warm up DL to 70 kg x 5-10 reps & dips go for 6 reps. Up the others by 2 reps or just stick a couple biscuits on & do 8 reps. Quite happy with my progress. May get some creatine but things are going okay without it atm. Cheers
 
Smart move listening to your body. Funny how those “old bones” start demanding a bit more care!
Great to hear you're ramping back up next week with a plan, pushing the reps or adding weight where it makes sense. Creatine could give you a little extra edge but if you're happy with your progress and recovery is on point no rush. Keep smashing it!

Cheers fella. Howyadoin' ? Really surprised myself with how well that deload week went. Feels like I came back a bit stronger. My diet is a bit carb heavy so I got a load of steak eggs & salad, & some quinoa for a rice substitute & mixed beans for a bit more protein. Hope you've had a good week.
