Fuck it, go to Thailand get one tailored to suit for peanuts
Marks & Sparks
Make up most of my smart shirts and catered for me when i was up in the 240s. Obvs not as big as you but i'd be shocked if you couldn't fit in a half decent one from one of those places.
Another option is the classic buy a shirt with smaller collar size but hide the fact you havent done top button up with tie.
Yeah I’m not holding out for a collar that’ll fit mate, if I can get something that fits the torso I’ll make do with whatever size collar I can get
yes mate, tailored and slim fit cut in and pleated at back to differing degrees. You’ve seen when I was lean and I was wearing them, no bags of material to hide away.
Father sons if you’ve heard of them there my go to for shirts/formal wear
I was making a joke about Yorkshireman being tight as fuck.
the Hugo boss at York is just an outlet. Be lucky to find much other than a T-shirt or belt to fit someone his size in there.
I have this problem and work in a suit - my suits and shirts are all made to measure. You’re going to struggle to find something that doesn’t fit like a tent with a 21” neck mate. Sjundea mentioned your best off the peg options above - you might get away with their slimmer fitting shirts if they go up to 21”.
I’ll shoot to M&S tomorrow and try and get something that looks half decent
Imo it’s fucking insane that clothes designers assume you have a 50 inch waist if you have a 52 inch chest. Even some of the “athletic” cut stuff if your chest is a 50 the waist is a 44 or something
A 6 inch taper isn’t right athletic is it ffs
I second Matalan, seemed pretty decent when i was larger..loads of diff neck sizes etc to choose from.
Ted Baker Endurance, I have a couple and they are ok although nowhere near as fitted as some are like fathersons but I like them loose and not to look like they have been sprayed on.
When i was about 210-220lbs i weared Levis, Camp David, G-Star and Bikkembergs stretch one.
Look at Camp David Muscle Fit shirts, it seems to be the best option.
Alao there was german line called Tom Tompson - great quality, but not sure if the brand still exists.
Marks and Sparks. 19 neck tailored fit
Looks ok with a tie to tighten the collar up without the top button
Just call me mystic Meg
York designer outlet, get 1 that fits best then take it to the alterations place and get taken in around waist if needs be! I just got a few penguin short sleeved shirts this weekend, they fit ok, slightly loose at waist but better than most
