It is a good thing. As Scotland has more junkies per head of population, they should be first in queue.

Also I strongly believe that addicts should be prescribed their drugs to stop the thieving, police time, jail time etc which goes along with addiction issues.

Who Pays for it though? (Serious question) and is it not just like saying, "take your drugs here, we'll make sure you are safe, have a good time" thus encouraging it?

The savings on police/jail time would pay for it tenfold.

I think the trade off from petty crime, legal aid, jail time under 3 months and police resources etc is offset to the cost. it probably take some time for it to be cost effective

Portugal and Canada have halved drug crime rates doing this. still not sure I'm comfortable with shooting galleries though but rehab and counselling services will be there 24/7

This is key point here, there isn't enough money for any of this at the moment so extra funding will be great. The amount of ££££ the alcohol industry make is unreal and the amount they put back in to help people with issues with alcohol is negligible. Government should step in and take some of the profits but no, they all want to work on the board at Diageo when they finish in the House of Commons.

I suppose when it comes down to it doing nothing solves nothing, certainly cant hurt to try it!

Like you, I'm not comfortable with the shooting galleries as you put it but if counselling is available and utilized then it's worth trying for sure.

If you got an alien who had no cultural prejudices towards anything and u said

    1. Addictive, causes organ damage, obesity, cancer?, all the social issues, man made for mass consumption using additional chemicals

    2. Potentially addictive too, cures/helps some diseases, overly fucked with strains can cause mental health issues (messing with nature imo caused this), good sleep, pain relief etc, a plant

One is legal, taxed, advertised, celebrated

    One is criminalised

    Which one Is which
