That’s exactly why everyone’s shoulders are fucked though mate. That and most people’s complete lack of control over their scapular. If you stabilise the joint and achieve full Rom in them then it wouldn’t bother your shoulders to use the full ROM.
Carrying on with half reps might allow you to train in the short term but it’ll exacerbate the issue further than dealing with the problem.
