Happy with how the platform turned out. Centre needs a few more screws and the rubber needs sticking down but need to pick some glue up. Thinking about staining the centre at some point
Cheers but can’t be arsed tying money up until then tbh chaps I’ll keep looking, hopefully something will turn up soon
Yeh makes sense. Ideal for me as I'm not in a rush for them at moment. If you have Instagram follow this page they update with who has stock in https://instagram.com/gymstuffuk?igshid=1x8dfy42kdvlw
check Powerlifting Kit For Sale UK people posting 2 hand kit, plates etc and links to which suppliers have new kit etc.. some silly cunts with prices, but mostly ok not taking piss.
Incase anyone needs https://www.mirafit.co.uk/mirafit-crumb-rubber-olympic-bumper-plates.html 2 x 20 bumpers for 120. Can order a max of two items so 4 for 240. 3 quid a kilo for bumpers isn't too bad.
Managed to switch my 12mm mat order to a 17mm. I'm either going to have the same level opposite with just rubber mat or I may replicate the platform that side as well.
Fitness superstore order arrived, only 1” weight stuff but all very cheap. 2 sets of dumbbells with 20kg worth of weights each for £30 each. Their cheapo barbell for £32 and 80kg worth of 10kg plates for £80. Using a set of builders trestles as a combo rack which was £60 (and doubles up as a dip station) I’m planning on going back to the gym when it reopens so just wanted something to get me through.
I'm debating building a wee gym in the garden with a 3m by 3m commercial marquee, enough room for a decent rack with pulley system etc, I've quite enjoyed training at home tbf only thing that's been a bit naff is legs training everything else got by ok Reckon 2k would build a decent set up and presuming if i got bored as tits with it of the 1500 that is gym equipment id at least get a 1k back second hand. That said I'm thinking that waiting till July when gyms 'may' reopen to litmus test my attitude to the idea when I have access to a fully equipped gym again might be sensible!
