I need to learn how to do this. I'm so relaxed I could fall asleep on my setup.

I have focus, just no aggression. I'd love to get riled up for a heavy lift.

I do but only to a certain extent.

I find that if i get too angry before a set and build it up too much with fucked up thoughts then similar to what con and jim say, it drains you that much im fucked for the rest of the session lmao.

Deadlifts I just stare at the bar and tell myself over and over in my head that Im gona lift it no matter what.
Squats same as deadlifts, but I grab the bar and give it a shake before getting under it.
Bench Im shit, I just get hold of it and hope it dont get stuck on my chest lol.

I don't do any of that voodoo shit, I just tell myself "you done 7reps at this weight last week, you better beat that or you're going home to wash the dishes like a lil'bitch". my dishes are immaculate

Anger is a negative emotion which carries negative endocrine signals with it.
Instead, simply visualise awesome, and let your head take you through the set.
(Failing that, kick a small person).

I find controlled aggression to be great when lifting heavy. Saying that, when I have overdone the Mtren or fast acting gear, I have been known to nut the bar before.

I pace a lot like Mike Tyson does before he fights.

I can do with more aggression though, as sometimes I just walk up to the bar and lift. Which isn't enough imo.

I'm sure as the weights get heavier, the expectations, pressure etc will act as a catalyst for greater aggression.

I don't really do anything to get hyped before going heavy. Sometimes I try to but it just isnt there, but I can bang out 95% + week after week without any of that getting hyped stuff. Other times I'll just look at the barbell when it's starting to get heavy and I'll just start feeling sickly, a bit ill, and like I could rip someone's head off and I know I've got to push it because I can tell I'm strong that day so I'll just keep going up in weight go for a PB and I know I'm gonna fucking smash it.

Sounds stupid but that's how it seems to work for me
