    Sticking to a Tues/Thurs/Sat or Sun schedule, rotating upper- lower- upper - lower

    Still feeling out the diet and cardio, but I think 10-14lb down by Xmas and maybe even a recomp effect is possible without anything too drastic

    Mood is super low at the moment

    need to address this as it impacts on motivation for life and training

    not really sure what to do. Current health medication;

    Vit D
    Magnesium
    Support Max Neuro
    Greens powder

    considering increasing cardio as this seems to improve how I feel

    Find out why it’s low and address that

    Take everything under the sun that won’t fix the underlying issue

    Think I’ll need to go down to maybe 180lb/81k to reach any sort of condition.

    Maintaining strength and muscle is a primary objective so will aim to do this over 16 weeks.

    will look skinny as fook at that weight but I am just too fat to justify any sort of calorie surplus until I’m lean. At least the pullups will improve haha

    so this means less food, less eating out and more cardio.

    initial plan is 10,000 steps NTD and 30 mins cardio TD

    calories will remain at 2,000 and min 200g protein but will be much much more consistent now

    @noel

    GSP type physique is long term aim

    he was same height as me and a 185lb-190lb in shape (according to what he said)

    I’m under no illusions it will take a lot to achieve that

Truly amazing... quite short though but he is a genetic freak in that respect, hed be awesome at whatever sport he chose

    @noel

    yes he’s an incredible athlete

    When you say looked different, in what way? He seems like a good guy too from what I’ve listened to of him (Joe Rogan show etc)

    You must have been pretty high level to train with him?

    only for striking, his thai coach is an english guy who moved to NYC....so i was there purely for the striking sparring, Rashad Evans too... he would then go to Renzo's for BJJ - absolute animal of a trainer but also very polite guy exactly as he comes across in the media to be fair. I was ok nothing special, fun times!

    but more muscle back then, hes smaller now but also older too....

    One of my favourite GSP memories is when he bought on Jean Paul Skarbowski for the TUF and he demolished everyone despite being half pissed and not training for years! Classic!

    JPS is a legend. but thats the same for most high level thai guys, at that time the striking level was poor, I was showing Rashad Evans how to roundhouse properly as his were plain shit and i could see them coming a mile off.... nowadays guys have much better access to thai trainers and camps... so i fluked it really by being there when the level was poor..made me look much better than i am/was!

    Ha I experience this, in normal clothes (I work in an office so shirt and tie) I basically don't even look like I lift! If the everyday person finds out I compete in bodybuilding they often seem surprised and some even ask me "don't you have to be bigger to be a bodybuilder?", it's actually a little soul destroying haha

    95 x8
    100 x5

    leg press

    240 x10
    220 x10

    leg ext W/hold at top

    45 x10
    50 x8

    Single leg hams

    35 x9
    25 x12

    donkey calf raise

    90 x11
    80 x12
    80 x8

    biceps; 3 work sets

    stepper: 20 mins/170kcal

    NB:

    9.5/10 as weights up across exercises

    Pre today was 1 scoop MVPre, 1 scoop Infl8. Can confirm it was fire!

    Good session. Last hack squat session was 90 x8 so a notable improvement

    not doing progressive overload for biceps, that never worked for me. Just a decent pump and connection.

    with calf raises I do -

    very slow eccentric
    2-3 secs stretch at bottom
    2-3 secs hold at top

    Not a criticism at all, if anything it’s my own naivety but why are you only doing to two sets of most exercises? Or am I reading it wrong?
