Talk to me

Who's done it?

What did you do?

What were the results?

Would you do it again/do you still do it?

I do it now tbh

last meal about 10pm

then first 12-1pm

i always eat like this so goes to show it dosent work

na i just feel better doin it can never be assed wif brekkie even when in work

I fast for about 5 minutes then eat again. This goes on all day. I also fast when I’m asleep.

Do I qualify and what do I win?

I think fasting is a great way to control calories
I followed the 16:8 years ago but I dont think there is any more benefit to following a rigid plan like that compared to just not eating for the morning
I actually function better on less food until the afternoon as eating bigger meals generally makes me sluggish
I dont buy into the fasting means you're burning fat claims
If you've eaten any sort of carbs the previous day that's gonna be fuelling you the next day
Basically
If youre trying to drop some weight and can function well by dropping the calories youd eat in the morning, then that's an easy way to do it as you can have the same remaining meals and still feel satisfied

This, on a normal workday I first eat at 1ish. Not deliberately mind you just always been that way

Full 24 hour fast is what big D used to advocate once a week iirc

Tbh my reason for doing it was supposedly its healthier, in lowering insulin sensitivity etc

Also I've seen vids and stuff where they say people gained more muscle when eating in a 8 hour window compared to normal because of the way the food is used better or whatever

Better endurance etc

Not too fussed about losing or gaining weight, prob be happy to just improve body composition slightly but am 10 weeks off gear now so PCTish

I honestly think it's very easy to get used to. Bigger meals become more satisfying and hunger doesn't really become a problem
Just my experience, I never gave it a label but that's the way I've always ate.

I could do it easy tbf If I wanna stick to a certain way of eating or training whatever i can do it so wont be a prob if it's worth doing

TBH Tom, whilst you hormones are balancing out, I wouldn't fook about with too much. Eat well, train hard, rest/sleep long. Get hormones sorted then fook about with experimentation.

I had considered this, tbf I'm now on 25mg clomid EOD only which stops in a week.

I feel good. Recovering from training Ok, sex drive not as high as when on (obv) but still gone back up, feel less tired now pretty energetic etc

So I dont want to mentally accept defeat before it even happens by not being on. I dont want to use the excuse of not being on, or phaggotry would have prevailed.

Omlette approved

I believe theres some science behind the insulin sensitivity, it makes sense as you're not having to control blood sugars constantly compared to eating every 2-3 hours
Endurance I would say is more person specific, at least at our level of sport
For me, I dont like doing anything on a full stomach, I like training fasted and if I've eaten I wait about 3 hours
Some people cant train until they've had 4 meals
The muscle building and body composition thing I'm not sure
I bought into it a little when I did the 16:8 but didnt really notice much difference, at the end of the day
Eat too much and you'll gain weight, too little you'll lose, regardless of fasting
Theres always 2 sides of the argument that both sound convincing
I've been watching a lot of YouTube this lockdown and the importance of regular nutrition and training methods to maximise blood flow
Again, at our level, its purely for enjoyment so do whatever makes you feel the best
If you feel good you'll perform better regardless
Pointless following a plan if you feel like crap and cant be arsed
