I've alway's wanted to learn another language but never got around to it, been recently looking up what it does to the brain and its benefits which are very good. Has anyone got any suggestions on an easy language to learn? I won't be needing it really just something to do while working from home.

Spanish is very easy from my
Limited experience so I'd start there.

After that German is supposed to be good.

I speak conversational Hebrew, Spanish, Greek, French and little italian.

I want to learn more but times constricting.

I just got a book about learning Spanish and another for Arabic.

I learned a little Spanish from watching Narcos and other TV shows. I was taught Arabic scripture when I was younger, I cant speak it fluent like in a conversation.

When I was younger, we were taught how to read the Quran. We started with the basics etc.

There are a tremendous amount of similarities between English and French vocabularies. I found it easy.

pick something you WANT to learn and even better if you have access to a natural speaker

the main European languages are all similar so French, german, Spanish - avoid finnish and Hungarian etc as they are damn hard but essentially none are easy per sey just closer to our own with similar ish rules...

Spanish is quite straight forward but they will use lots more words to say the same thing... if you can understand Spanish then Italian and portugese isn't so hard and very similar (enough to be able to get by)

gives you a bit of help though if you go to spain or the US or south American
French realistically (sorry to any Frenchmen who will deny this until the cows come home but only helps in france - where most of the time locals will turn their nose up anyway!), the odd caribean island and bits of Africa......so is pretty pointless in that respect

    same for German....

hence the need to pick something you like.........

If it's any good then let me know, I was the same in that learnt the Quran as a kid but didn't know/still don't know what it means which is why I want to learn the language itself.
