Little Simon V Righty 2 - Unfinished Business...

Little Simon

Competitor

After the result of the charity transformation where myself and @Righty tied for first it was only right that I grant him a rematch...

Basic stats

6'3"
18st 3lb / 255lb / 115kg
Training for 5 years mostly strength orientated.

Diet will be my usual laid back style, just cutting out junk foods. I've enjoyed the last 6 weeks eating whatever I wanted and the strength gains that have come with it. Now it's time to knuckle down and try and reach a new level in my weight loss journey.

It originally started at the beginning of 2013 at 132.5kg and got down to 109kg at the end of the charity comp, so I'm hoping to get below that this time.

No drug use.

No supps because I'm too lazy.

Routine will be push, pull, legs with some extra bench practice on the legs day.

Push

Flat Dumbbell Press
Weighted Dips
Shoulder Press (has to be plate loaded machine at the moment as I've done something to my neck, trap area performing standing barbell presses)
Close Grip Bench (sometimes paused, sometimes touch n go depending on how I feel on the day)

Pull

Coan Phillipi Deadlift routine, which is

Deadlifts up to a heavy double
Speed pull 8x3 for most the cycle
SLDL, Row, Pull Up circuit
Back Extensions

Legs

Olympic squats
Bench practice
Hack Squats

I perform all movements raw, without belt, wraps, bra etc...

Good session!

Beginning to really get my technique right for dumbbells, tucking the feet in and basically trying to replicated my barbell set up.

On to the 60's next week.

Dips felt heavy, think the extra weight im holding has obviously made a difference, but still got through it so all good.

Still having issues with my neck, trap area for barbell overhead press so converted to the hammer strength machine, got a decent pump so think they'll be a nice substitute.

Close grip was felt solid, no problems at all off the chest, just my usual sticking point halfway up.

Nice way to start the week!

Onwards and Upwards!
