    Squats, press + assistance

    Safety bar

    Bar x a few
    60kg x5
    80kg 3x5

    Seated barbell press

    Bar x some
    60kg 5
    70kg 5x5

    Close grip bench

    Bar x a bit
    60kg x5
    100kg x3
    120kg x2
    140kg x1
    150kg x1
    155kg x2

    Done!

Squats are feeling decent, I could add more weight really, but just want to take things slowly.

Press felt a bit harder than usual, couldn't get my set up right, but saying that got through sets with minimal fuss

Bench was a good, feeling real strong at the moment, didn't even bother with a spotter. It was an unstable bench too, but I couldn't be arsed to move to another.

Also been strict this week, dropped 8lb so pretty good.

Had my weigh in on Saturday morning, 10lb off my frame, sitting at 280lb on the button

    Intensity week

    Incline dumbbell press

    30's x5
    40's x5
    50's 6x5

    Close grip bench - paused

    60kg x5
    100kg x5
    120kg x3
    140kg x5

That's all I had time for.

Poor nights sleep as the little man is teething, got around 4 hours I think.

Dumbbells went well, no real issues getting through the sets. A volume PB.

Felt a kind of tired for bench, so just decided on the single heavy set, had maybe a couple more in tank but it's still a PB all the same.

    Squats n deadlifts on Wednesday

So trained another 3 cycles since last post, moved on to barbell bench rather than dumbbells.

    Working weights were

    Bench

    125kg 4x5, 5x5, 6x5

    Deload went

    150kg, 160kg, 165kg

Form wasn't right so didnt attempt 175kg pb

Moved on to 140kg x6 paused

    Deadlifts

    185kg 3x5, 4x5, 5x5

    Deload went

    200kg, 220kg, 240kg

Heaviest pull since leg injury last summer

    Press

    75kg 3x5, 4x5, 6x5

    Deload went

    80kg, 90kg, 100kg, 105kg fail

    Squats are up to 155kg

Decent cycle but lost form on presses. Going to work paused bench for the next cycle at 127.5kg, will do the same for standing press

Deadlifts were pretty good, 240kg was smooth and probably back up to 250kg maxing out.

    Squats are moving along nicely.

    That's all folks

Alrite chaps, it's been a while.

Now moved out of London to Kempston, Bedfordshire.

Unfortunately had to leave Genesis Gym, logistically just can't do it with the baby.

Saying that he ain't no baby anymore, 28lb, wearing 18 to 24 month clothing...he only 9 months...

Found a gym up in Bedford Town called Samson's Fitness, it has barbells and a squat rack so I'm sorted.

Trainings going alright, just continuing to work the big 4 as I've always done.

A few assistance moves here and there.

Not been arsed with dieting, all the stress of moving with a baby threw any kind of diet out the window.

All good, loving the new area and just getting on with life in general!

    Cheers chaps

Today's session was bench plus accessories.

I have limited time do my sessions only last around 25mins.

    Bench

    140kg 5x3 paused

Pretty explosive despite the awful bench, the seat doesn't lay flat and there's a massive gap where the hinge is positioned, it's awful lol

    Accessories

    Dips

    Bodyweight x 8
    +10kg X5
    +20kg X5

    Bodyweight is currently 127kg

    Finished off with triceps extensions.

    Decent session, deadlifts tomorrow.

    What's happening chaps, it's been a while.

Life's been busy, little man is growing fast, rediculously large and strong for his age.

In the 99th percentile for his age, 11 months, 2'7", 30lb lol

Walking all over the place ruling the house...

Also changed jobs and stepped up to Technical Web Analyst at Cancer Research UK.

Massive place and love my work so all good.

Training's obviously taken a slight back burner, I train when I can, sometimes twice per week, other weeks 3 times.

Switched to dumbbells because the current doesn't have a proper flat bench.

I'm up to 50kg dumbbells for 10 reps on the first set and 8 reps on the following 2.

Deadlifting up to 225kg X5 as of today.

Current gym has a low ceiling so I can't barbell press, currently doing standing single arm dumbbell press.

Much harder than I imagined, 35kg was pretty tough, it really exposes your weaknesses.

Squats are haphazard, I'm up to 170kg for a double.

Not much other movements, just pull ups and weighted dips with 40kg for a few.

Bodyweight is bang on 280lb, circa 129kg.

That's about it, just enjoying fatherhood as much as I can :)
