New 2 day routine I've put together. Quite enjoyed 5-3-1, but the bit I enjoyed the most was the 5x10 big but boring sets with the compounds. I've taken that idea forward and will use it for my new routine. 2 full body days per week. Day 1: Deadlifts 3x5 Leg Press 3x20 Bench Press 5x10 Standing Press 5x10 Pull Ups 3xf Day 2 SLDL 5x10 Front Squats 5x5 Incline Press 5x10 Calf Work Pull Ups 3xf Or to put it in a more bodybuilding way: Back, Traps, Lats: Deadlifts and Pull Ups Delts: Standing Press and Incline (Pull Ups for rear delts) Chest: Flat and Incline Bench Legs: Front Squat, Leg Press, SLDL, Calf Work Bi's and Tri's: Pull Ups and all pressing movements. Focus is more aesthetic now, not really in the frame of mind to chase big maxes at the moment. Weights will progress each week starting with 60 to 70% of max for the main compounds. Might experiment with how I perform some of the movement i.e more TUT or shortened ROM. Will kick off on Monday.
