Mod Your Own Training Log

It's now possible for 'Top Contributors' (1000+ post members) to moderate their training log. You are able to do the following:
  • Edit Title
  • Edit own posts, regardless of age
  • Delete any posts, no matter who posted
  • Undelete any posts
  • Move own posts
  • Merge own posts
  • Move thread (to the private log section, and back again)
  • Merge threads (if you want to combine training logs for instance)
  • Undelete thread
  • Lock/Unlock
  • View deleted posts
About the only thing you won't be able to do is edit other peoples posts or delete the entire thread.

Note: It used to be possible to delete a thread but this had too many knock-on effects to other members. For example a member may have posted hundreds of times in someone else's training log taking them above 1,000 posts, but the thread starter decides to delete the thread and this causes the other member to lose those couple of hundred posts and downgrades their membership level removing permissions. Please ask a mod if you'd like your log to be deleted and we can do this without people losing posts.

Instructions

While Viewing Your Training Log

Note: Thread tools is found near the top right hand corner of the thread.
  • Lock/Open - Thread Tools
  • Edit Title - Thread Tools > Edit
  • Edit/Delete/Undelete post - Link visible at the bottom of each post in the thread
  • Move Thread - Thread Tools > Move Thread

While Viewing The Training Logs Forum
Note: Tick the checkbox next to any thread you've started in the training logs or private training logs forum's and a popup with options will appear.
  • Merge Thread - Tick the checkbox next to your thread in the training logs forum > Tick any other threads you'd like to merge (the order doesn't matter) > Select merge from the popup dropdown menu > Select the thread you'd like to merge into > Confirm.

Hope this is helpful to a few of you :)

Would anyone like to be able to moderate their own training log? Handy if you want to keep it on-topic or give it a clean every so often by deleting posts, open/closing, moving to and from the private section (for members with over 500 posts).

Just a thought...

Would be nice to clean it up now n again.

Yes and simple things like being able to change the name of it without having to email a mod?

Agreed it would be good to be able to tidy it up from time to time. The ability to limit who uses it (similar to fb does) would also be beneficial. It would allow journals to stay on topic by blocking and free up more mod time to focus on other stuff.

It might be possible to allow people with training logs to ban individual members from posting in their thread but not 100%, I'll have to look into that if it's a feature that people want.

I appreciate it won't be 100% but function are available to limit it to single logs.

Yes it sounds like a good idea. I'm a hopeless technophile so I'd need a list of what I'm able to do and how to do it  , but sounds good. :)

Fantastic feature - I asked about this on UKM but it couldn't be done... this is the first forum I've seen this on, very forward thinking.
