Anyone else ever suffered from painkiller addiction?

I've recently came off codeine after the doctor prescribing me them for 2 years for back issues.

The withdrawl is a right cnut.

How did you feel and how did you get over it
I've never been in that situation

Day 7 at the moment and seem to be doing better, the first 4 days were pretty rough.

The insomnia was the worst, bad stomach I can deal with.

I guess it was easier for me the other people because I didn't take them rec, was purely because I couldn't walk.

I guess the longer your on something the harder it is on the system when you drop it.

I was once given Oxcodone for a neck injury. i think i took it for only 6 weeks or so then stopped it. even after this short time i had a couple of days of sweating & definetly not fun to be around. could not imagine taking it 2 + years !

I do like a trammy or two before training tbf

I got in the habit of ordering 100 every time I bought gear a few years ago but knocked it on the head as I realised it won’t be doing me any good

Always had great training sessions on trammy and 400mg caffeine though

My grandad should be taking tramadol for his chronoc arthritis. Took a couple of tabs and said he was even more spaced out in his head than normal (he's a bit out there - early dementia) and hated the feeling. Sacked them off.

I used to love a trammy as a pre work out, but developed a bit of a tolerance these days. 200mg doesn’t really do much anymore! I prefer kratom.

There's a seizure risk with tramadol, so be careful with it. I think 400mg is the limit, but obviously everyone is different.

What's the idea with the trammy? Whenever I've took one for some pain they've doped me up lol. Does the caffeine have a synergistic effect or something?

Just allowed me to switch off and really plough through every set. Just felt numb to any pain (unsurprisingly) so was able to really push heavy sets to the limit

And I just like to take a lot of caffeine pre gym. No synergistic effect but deffo didn’t hurt
