3 week review is this week. My guess is that gyms etc stay closed till after they see the effects of a full school opening on 11 August. So my guess is September at earliest.

Finally got into the gym today after a bit of difficulty getting in yesterday when it reopened. They took my temperature and then told me the rules - there was a one way system most people ignored, they've put tape on the floor around bits of equipment and you need to wipe it down but otherwise there is very little sign anything has changed in the weights area. Maybe about 8 people in there. No changing rooms and you have to ask teacher if you want to use the loo and they escort you.

I've only been able to do dumbbell squats - managed around 2/3 previous working weight and felt shaky and weak. Gonna take a while to get back to where i was. Bench was better as i had decent sized dumbells and did lots of sets so was down 25% but didnt push it too hard. Shoulders Ive probably spent more time on than i would have in the gym so they were down 20% but i did manage 5 at my old working weight so pretty pleased with that. Back I'll do next time.

Its gonna be interesting how long it takes to get back to where i was. I'm in London so expect most others are in a similar position. I saw one guy twice my size lifting weights i could do so clearly he hasnt been able to do anything. Poor bastard.

Seriously hope not! I wasn’t really missing the gym the first couple of months of lockdown, but have to say the past couple of weeks I have been dying to get back to it. Both physically and mentally. I was hoping she might look to re-open them in mid-August to tie in with the schools opening again but who knows.

Still don’t really understand how people can be allowed to fly away on holiday just now, but I cannot go to the gym for a workout.

Definitely a second wave in US (was the first wave ever truly over?). UK and Sweden look fine for now.

hopefully if people don't get lapse and stick with masks and hygiene, it wont be an issue.

i know it's not a rule to wear masks in the gym but I might actually start doing it. I went yesterday for the first time and there were still groups of people standing in little huddles, most the lads weren't wiping their shit down after using it. I get the feeling if i'm going to catch it, its going to be in the gym as its the only place outside my home that i'm reasonably subjected to a significant viral load for any length of time, made more likely by people taking the piss
