Hi guys,

This is my charity transformation log.

My chosen charity is bipolar.org.uk, a charity supporting people directly and indirectly affected with bipolar disorder. They are a fantastic charity, organising self-help groups, a forum, newsletters, events as well as raising bipolar awareness.

I don't want to go into too many personal details, but this condition has affected my life from very severely to moderately over the last 8 years. I have now been stable 2 years, I'm engaged, have my own business, and love life. Stability mental health wise is my number 1 goal in life.

Will get some pictures up tonight, along with current BW and a few measurements.

Going to sort out my donation and QR code etc later on, have a busy afternoon today.

AIMS;

Get as lean as possible during the transformaton period
Get stronger
Learn some new stuff martial arts wise and improve overall conditioning

Best lifts at the moment:

Deadlift 220x3
Bench 132.5 x3
OHP 95x1

@95kg's.

Want to substantially improve these whilst getting much leaner.

Good luck mate :) Some strong lifts you have there.

All the best with this mate.

Really strong lifts mate.

All the best with the goals.

thanks guys

my training hasn't got off to a good start tbh, dislocated my finger at judo on Friday and can't grip properly yet

Training this week will mainly be;

Leg Press
Hack squat
Leg extensions/curls
ab work
calf work
cardio

Hope to be properly recovered by Friday as have a session with a local olympic lifting coach then, and judo again in the evening

Is judo your 1st love mate.

I'd love to train a discipline like that.

Fighting has always been a passion mate

I trained judo for 4-5 years as a child and loved every second of it

I also played rugby to a decent level and represented my county

I love judo and grappling, it incorporates technique, mental strength, physical strength and fitness

having said that I have the 'iron bug'
and will never stop training heavy with weights

Inspirational post. My entire adult life has been wasted due to this illness so it always gives me hope when I read about others living productive lives. If I can achieve half of what you have in 2 years time I will be very happy indeed. Looking forward to following your progress :)

@Terra

it is a very difficult condition to live with,
most of my mid 20s were very testing and I was in/out of mental health wards

Career and relationships suffered but the thing that gets me the most was training suffering! I went from a strong fit guy to a weak fatty due to medication weight gain and depressive times

You can and will overcome it though, I think lifestyle management is key, exercise, meds,
diet and sleep. Alcohol is a big no no for me.

If you ever want to chat drop me a PM
