Prescribed Trt

if a private clinic is available to you it might be your best option if your gp route isn't open.
From what I've seen private clinics are ridiculously expensive though when you consider what it would cost to buy your own test and get your blood tested 2 or 3 times a year.

Anyone had success getting this from the GP? I mean if you get a referral can you then use your right to choose and go private?

You don't need a GP referall, most do their own tests beforehand (because they charge for it).

if you got a gp referral wouldn't you be as well just staying with the NHS ?
don't really understand your thinking?

I mean if the referals takes ages you can find alternatives it's called right to choose. As long as the private clinic is signed up to NHS you can speed it up. I am doing this on something else. I just need the referal

I don't understand either. Usually you see people doing the opposite, getting tested privately then taking it to a GP to get treatment prescribed through the NHS. If you don't mind paying private why don't you just go direct to a clinic and skip faffing about with a GP altogether?

Yeah, I know. I just don't understand why anyone would want to do this with regard to trt. You can just go directly to a clinic from the outset. You don't need a GP referral. Like I said usually people do the opposite of what you're trying to do if anything.
Without an NHS referral you can't do it, as in once you have a referral the NHS pays, without it you pay
