Anyone any experience with close grip overhead press for triceps ? Iv seen it mentioned with regards to dc training for extra shoulder work on the high frequency goals but never seen it mentioned elsewhere where as close grip benching is mentioned quiet reguarly for triceps training

Close grip is pretty much the default grip for overhead press. Same width you'd use for close grip bench.

Illogical doing an overhead press just for triceps as close grip bench or tricep dips are better builders due to the amount of weight and body position allowing this. The only exercise i would advise is the Incline french press. back supported great stretch. better than standing.

I do overhead Rope/Cable extensions for triceps, batters them every time! DOMS the next day are brutal for me.

DC uses underhand moderate width grip usually on a smith for triceps

Tricep activation is not altered by wrist placement.
Heavy pull downs and presses all the way.
