OK what are your opinions on this guy.

Early on, first time around, I was thinking "this guy knows what he is doing, he's playing the game" but the game never seemed to go anywhere.

This time around, can't help falling on the side of "This guys a total twat"

I mean the sum total of all these tarrifs - its essentially self imposing sanctions in effect - got to be the first country in the world to do that to themselves surely :lol:

He sounds more like a mob boss trying to shake everyone down lol

You can't make sense of anything he does in economic terms, because it just doesn't. And I'm finding it hard to keep thinking "yeah this guy has a masterplan behind all this now"

In some ways I'm thinking the guy is downright dangerous?

Got to admit I do like the mayhem he is causing on some level though :lol:
 
He is a narcissist. Running America like he is on The Apprentice. He probably has a plan but it’s full of biases, beliefs and appealing to strong sentiments of immigration, American superiority etc etc

I think the tariffs are a bluff and negotiation tool. But what he wants from those aren’t clear. The factories aren’t coming back to America no matter what the companies say. They are smart enough to make promises and play games for another 3.5 years.

Personally, I find him entertaining. Everyday there is at least one new clip which is funny

Yeah I kinda agree, especially with finding him entertaining.

I think he thinks he is chess master but I'm suspecting he is more like a kid playing chess - blundering along with big bold moves trying to take as many opponents pieces as he can, like he thinks that's the goal
 
I take it you guys are in America and directly feeling the impact of their political decisions? From across the pond it's been very entertaining. I used to be absolutely not a fan at all and thought it was pretty wild he could become president, now however due to their undeniably successful and riveting campaign (various talk shows and podcasts like Joe Rogan), and the inclusion of Vance who - from what I've heard and seen - seems a very articulate chap I'm not as against him. This may be more my media exposure however, so it's hard to say really, I guess the real world impact for you guys living in America will be more telling. Particularly interesting given in the UK, I work in the charitable sector and have always voted Labour, which would be the equivalent of the democratic party in the US, I would have defo voted Trump for better or worse, they crushed the campaign.

Can't speak for @TrainingHard but I'm a Brit!

The ramifications of what the US president does, good or bad, reach far though. 2 grand wiped off my pension overnight when he started playing funny buggers. Mostly recovered now tho.

On balance I'm glad I don't live under him tbf!
 
Personally I think his stance on illegal immigration is spot on.
I would welcome this in the UK.
It's time to take out the criminal trash

At first I also thought that he had a hidden strategy, but the better it goes, the more it looks like total improv. His economic decisions seem completely irrational to me, as if he was just looking for chaos. After I recognize that this unpredictable side makes the character fascinating to follow.
 
Trump is the definition of an asshat. Some people like the chaos and think it’s ‘entertaining,’ but when you look past the circus, it’s just damage. If there really was a grand masterplan behind all the improv, we’d have seen it by now. Instead, it’s ego first, country second .

All those nuthuggers bragging about how great he is don’t realise he sees them as nothing more than useful idiots.

Brits cheering him on take retardness to a whole new level. Imagine backing a man who sees them as scum from a country he openly mocks.

Nice one. You’ve somehow condensed several centuries of prejudice into a single sentence rant. Meanwhile the people you’re sneering at are the ones running hospitals, teaching kids, starting businesses and helping keep society moving forward.
