Some good posts in this tread, pretty much summed up my opinion.
One msg I would like to get across to non-trainers who view this program:
I've no doubt that the headcases in this programme, look at the other headcases and consider them wired up wrong... but I say this without a hint of irony - what we people on this forum do - I consider it something quite different to what the poor defectives in this program are at.
We just use a similar mechanism. That's where the similarity ends imo.
I do not consider these people at the 'extreme' end of our spectrum.
I think they are off in a spectrum entirely of their own - called 'mentally ill'.
It just appears they are on our spectrum to people outside the fitness culture.
And that's the thing - it's pretty difficult for people OUTSIDE a given group, to determine where the line between hobbyist & mentally ill lies.
Anybody who has any experience in Martial Arts should be able to relate to it immediately tho while the people on the outside of Martial Arts probably won't get it.
Or Bouncing. Or whatever...
So like, it might be a fitness 'flavoured' program this week, and a few weeks ago it was Russian Nazi Xenophobe flavoured, and in a few weeks, it will be MMA flavoured.
But the core product is mentally ill folks.
