Covid 19.... Completed It

Basically last Monday, developed a random cough (non smoker) by the afternoon I was feeling very rough, breathless, sweating... Very flu like symptoms.

As the evening progressed the aches and pains were so bad, felt like whip lash in my neck and back... Felt like this for 3 days... Tested positive for the virus

The fatigue is incredible though, never felt so tired... Can see why it's killing older people etc...

Just wondering if anyone else has had it yet?

My boy's school has had a few +ves, he's now been sent home to isolate but only known one person to properly get and was in hospital, only briefly. As my Mrs is high risk she is now cr4pping herself thinking our bot could have it and not know

Mother and father in law had it bad but didn't tell us how bad they were for fear of worrying us. Father in law lost a ton of weight and was delirious at one point. Both are better now apart from mother in law has no sense of taste.
I possibly had it in dec but if not and I get it I’d be in for a rough ride coz my lungs are fucked already.

Known of a few acquaintances that have had it, most very mild apart from 3, one of them still hasn’t got their taste back about 4 months on. That would well piss me off. Love my food lol

I had it start of April.

Complete loss of taste/smell and pains in muscles, fatigue.
I thought the muslce pains were just from lifting weights in a cold, damp garage until I had the loss of smell, then I realised what it was.

Overall, it wasn't too bad for me tho. I had to mind my daughter by day and work by night - that was tough, but I think I was so busy I probably didn't realise how crappy I felt.

My wife had a high fever for 2 weeks tho. Was pretty bad for her, bedbound and useless.
I had to take her to hospital, but they just gave an antibiotic and sent her on her way.
They wouldn't test us either so never confirmed that we had it at the time.

Just so you're aware tho - I've had to see a cardiologist since I had it - tests still ongoing.
They're realizing now that a lot of people - even non-symptomatic - are suffering hidden heart and lung damage.
Something to be aware of.

Ive had it aswell only recent, abit worse than you had, breathlessness etc... coming out of it slowly now...

that last bit if intresting, and worrying... what made you see a carrdioligist if you dont mind me asking? Was you having issues or was it a general mot and something flagged up?

My father died last May from a heart attack, so I was planning to get checked anyway

But yes, started having some cardiac issues - palpitations, arrhythmia and unusual pains
ECG concluded I had an abnormal wave, so I had echocardiogram, x-ray and blood pressure monitoring.
Don't have results back yet,
X-ray showed no damage, but blood pressure was high at the time.

That all seems to have passed and I seem to be fine since - still able to move heavy weight and doing 1 hour cardio per day
But I cut my gear use back to 250mg, cut out stims, T3, everything.
And dropping some muscle (deliberately) and dropping bodyfat back down.

Think I will probably need to go on blood pressure medication

my wife has been having other long covid symptoms - no cardiac problems for her but she is experiencing extreme fatigue mainly and some other milder symptoms. We both keep getting this weird recurring cyst/burning smell in our noses every few weeks too. Think we'll need an antibiotic for that.

Sorry to hear about your dad Dan

Thanks mate - he was a bloody great Dad.

Far too young, only 66 - but he was a long time smoker.

It was very sudden and unexpected - best way to go though, he never would have been able to say goodbye - that would have been torture for him and probably much harder for all of us.
