Lifting belts

Looking at buying a lifting belt, something either Lever action or Prong. I'm not against Velcro, but the lever action seems like the way to go.
Are the cheap ones just a waste of money and I'd be better of saving for a decent one?
I've just read Greg Nuckols "Belt Bible" so I'm after your personal experiences or opinions more than anything.

I think if you want a belt to actually create some intra-pressure to stabilise for lifting then you probably have to get the thick leather ones, whether that's a lever or prong may not matter too much depending the level of lifting you do. Not being a PLer I only ever went for a fairly run of the mill PL belt. Still thick and heavy duty, but a fraction of the cost. In fact I think my last one was a Bulk Powders branded one and it was always pretty solid for what I needed.

Yeah, I just want one to brace against. See if it helps my lifts at all, hopefully help with my squats.

I've been looking at the strength shop ones, cheap and pretty decent apparently.
Theres a range of colours, everyone has black, I like the look of the purple haha

I have a belt but tend to use the back brace I have instead when needed, tbh my lower back is huge problem area so I tend to keep away from any lifts that can fcuk it (deads, squats, bent over rows etc,)

Personally wouldn't trust strength shop.
Inzer forever belt is what I have. Both belt and lever come with a lifetime guarantee(hence the name). Pioneer are also excellent. SBD are good but very heavy and over priced. Not sure about inzer but pioneer you can get from 9for9 using klarna for 2 interest free instalments.

I’ve been looking at getting a custom belt from mobility tools. Lots of options and you can have any art or text you wish. (They also do anime belts that are pretty cool if you’re a weeb like me) I currently use just a weight lifting belt from them and it’s held up well.

Why wouldn't you trust SS bud?
I'm leaning towards them, so if you can change my mind ill appreciate it.
I am tempted to save for the SBD, i like that you can alter the lever without it needed to be a screwdriver job

You can do that with a pioneer PAL lever. Less money and weighs less.
I've had to replace everything strength shop I've ever had. Quality varies wildly and it's not made to last.
Eleiko have a good looking power belt out now.
